Why did the chicken cross the road?

This has to be my favorite chicken quilt of all time. The colors and designs were perfectly chosen. 👏 It was so fun to quilt a chicken wire design on these lovely little hens.

These daisies are the size of large dinner plates and I LOVE them! If you ever want to play with the size of your quilting design, just let us know. Our longarm can handle both tiny and extra-large quilting designs.

These daisies are so big and bold that you cannot ignore them. They add dimension, visual interest, and fun to this quilt.

Whenever I teach someone how to paint fabric, they get so worried about inconsistencies in the colors and paint.

Don't worry!

Don't look at the whole picture...once you start cutting up your fabric you'll love the shadows and variations to your colors. It will add a natural depth and dimension that you don't get with some printed fabrics.

This is especially helpful for art quilting when you are replicating shadows and light.

So in quilting (and life), embrace the drips, splotches, and spills. It's part of what makes it beautiful.

Panels are a great way for beginners (and pros!) to practice quilting skills or turn over a project easily.

Another couching + quilting combo win!

This was such a fun way to jazz up this boy's quilt. We took the quilting design and made it extra large and bold with couching yarn. The end result was so cool! 😎

These beautiful blooms are the stars of this quilt. I love this time of year when we see so many floral prints come into the studio. It brings the beauty of spring inside!

(And these blooms will last forever!)

This was such a cool quilt to work on. Up close you can see beautiful detail work and some really neat fabrics. The overall effect is stunning! 👏

I did a video back in February about this cool technique. It's great for pillowcases, wall hangings, and small projects where you want to sneak a pop of color.

These meandering butterflies have me dreaming of fresh flowers and sunshine! 🌷

The prints on this customer quilt are just so cool. I love the seed packets and beautiful butterflies.

It was a pleasure to quilt this one!

As much as I love the top of a quilt, LOOK at the BACK of this quilt!

The dark red thread shows every curly swirl of the flowers on the soft pink fabric. I couldn't love it more. This customer chose such cute fabrics that this whole quilt just came together so beautifully. Well done!

Traditional quilting ❤s couching!

We've been playing with different techniques for combining the fun of couching with the traditional edge-to-edge quilting we all love.

On this darling quilt, we added a pop of flowers in a multi-colored yarn. This adds so much cuddly texture and visual interest to an already beautiful quilt.
