Guardians wear patches to denote the unit and higher headquarters they belong to. These patches instill a sense of responsibility and belonging and should be worn with the upmost pride. These patches represent the character, courage, commitment, and connection that each guardian strives to embody. Not only while on duty, but continuously as the nation’s mighty watchful eye.

Gate Hours: Luke East: 24/7, Valley Hi Gate: 24/7, Selfridge West Gate: Wednesday only: 5 a.m.to 5 p.m. (inbound and outbound) Monday - Friday, 5-8 a.m. & 3-5 p.m.(outbound only). (Note: If you are using a pass to enter the base you can not enter the base until 5am)

Plan ahead and check out the parking/gate information at the link below. Here are a few things to consider before driving to the base:
✅ Visitors driving their personal or rental vehicles will use the Valley Hi Gate (off 410 and Valley Hi Drive) or the Selfridge West Gate (off I-90 and Military Hwy).
✅ If entering the Valley Hi Gate, you will be directed to parking lots located off Truemper St.
✅ If entering the Selfridge West Gate, you will take an immediate right (George Ave) upon entering the base. George Ave will turn into Gary Ave which will take you to the designated parking.
✅ Guests arriving by taxi/Uber/Lyft can be dropped off at the Luke East visitor center parking lot and take the pedestrian bridge to reach the ceremony sites. Or, be dropped off at the Valley Hi gate visitor center parking lot and follow Truemper St. to the PRC or the parade fields. *Note: The Valley Hi visitor center is closed and the parking lot only has one-way in/out so expect delays.
✅ Forgot your pass? Didn't receive it? Go to the Luke East Gate Visitor Control Center to have it reprinted. The VCC is open from 24/7.

🚗 Once you get through the gate, here is the address you can enter in your GPS
1800 Truemper St (BLDG 6330)
Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas 78236
✅ If entering the Valley Hi Gate, you will be directed to parking lots located off Truemper St.
✅ If entering the Selfridge West Gate, you will take an immediate right (George Ave) upon entering the base. George Ave will turn into Gary Ave which will take you to the designated parking.
✅ If entering the Luke East Gate, you will enter and proceed to Kenly Ave and make a right, you will then proceed to Truemper St and make another right. Proceed straight and the PRC will be on your right hand side, parking is available off of Barnes Ave. Additional lots are located nearby on Truemper St.

⛔ Get in line early. You are allowed to enter as early as 5 a.m. (but not before unless you have a DoD ID)
⛔ Have your visitor access pass and ID ready to show Security Forces
⛔ Be courteous while in line to enter the installation
⛔ Follow all traffic laws (no illegal right-hand turns, don’t block intersections)
⛔ If you are being dropped off at the Luke East Gate use the Pedestrian Bridge (Enter Gate, bridge access is on walkway immediately after the visitors center, before B**g Ave.) to cross over Military Dr to access the Pfingston Reception Center.

Make no bones about it ... we love dogs here at the 37th Training Wing. In fact we are home to hundreds of dogs at the Department of Defense Military Working Dog school. However, for the safety of all those attending graduation, only service dogs that are trained to work or perform a task for persons with disabilities are allowed in the Airman's Arena (PRC) and the parade fields during graduation.

Additionally, comfort and/or emotional support animals are not recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as a service animal, therefore, they are not allowed at the events.🐕‍🦺
