Thank you Jon Clauss for the great photo. π
Check out this great video of the Greater Lafayette Career Academy's (GLCA) Motorsports Program with their high mileage car at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
I'm proud that Doug Wright Racing can play a (very) small role in GLCA's efforts through support and sponsorship. We enjoy employing interns from GLCA, as well as participating/supporting their various motorsports programs.
Keep up the good work, GLCA Motorsports! π

It was GREAT to host members of Lafayette's SHINE ON UNIVERSITY at the shop today.
There are certainly LOTS of BIG RACING FANS at SHINE ON!
The group was very interested in Aiden Fox's winning Purdue Grand Prix kart - so we rolled it out - and took our picture with it! π
We also fired up a micro sprint - that got lots of BIG SMILES π
Thanks for visiting us today, SHINE ON, let's do it again sometime soon!!!
Shine on University Day Services enriches the lives of adults with special needs by providing meaningful activities during the day. It offers daily programs that involve community outreach, volunteering, developing basic living skills, social encounters, cooperation, and interaction with others outside of their families.
Happy Heavenly Mother's Day, Mom. I miss you very much β€οΈ
Always a great day when my updated Bonneville Salt Flats - Southern California Timing Association rule book arrives ππ
We had a great time hosting the Tri-County School Corporation Welding Students!
Great group!
Thanks to Doug Wright, a TC alumnus, for welcoming a group of welding students in to tour Wright Motorsports. The group was very impressed and excited reporting on the trip. We appreciate the opportunity!
My Dad, Rex Wright, on opening day at Bunker Hill Dragstrip in 1956. This was the first day of racing at the legendary drag strip.
Dads is in the right lane in his 40 Ford coupe, wtih a Cadillac engine. He's racing a 28 Ford Model A with a DeSoto Hemi. Cool stuff. My dad was a real racer ππππ
Bunker Hill Dragstrip tells me this may be the oldes photo they have of racing at the legendary track.
This Throwback Thursday photo dates all the way back to 1956 on OPENING DAY of Bunker Hill Dragstrip. Submitted to us by Doug Wright, his dad Rex Wright in the right lane racing his β40 Ford with a Cadillac mill.
According to Rex this photo was taken of him racing on opening day and was the 2nd or 3rd pass that cars ever made down our dragstrip. How cool is that?
Thank you Doug for sharing this piece of history with us!
If you have any throwback photos that you would like to share, please send to [email protected]!
Thanks for all of your help, Brad Wilson and Lucky 7 Technologies!
Doug Wright Racing runs LUCKY SEVEN TECHNOLOGIES SHOCKS and DAMPERS on EVERY race car we take to the track!

Very proud of Purdue Freshman, AIDAN FOX, who drove his Kappa Sigma #97 kart to victory at the Purdue Grand Prix.

Christmas Eve service at City Of God. So blessed that Terri Smith-Wright and I found this church. Merry Christmas! π πβοΈ
One of my favorite days of the year - our shop Christmas party!
A great day to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, as well as great DWR team members (and their families).
Terri and I are blessed to be surrounded by a great staff, outstanding vendors, and incredible customers.
We added some new (shop logo) ornaments to our tree this year thanks to the welding class students at Tri-County School Corporation.
Looking forward to an incredible year in 2024.
Merry Christmas! ππ

So incredibly happy that my hometown of Wolcott (Indiana) continues to keep my mother's loving and giving spirit alive with the Wolcott Community Public Library Jan Wright Memorial Holiday Crafting Event.
My Mom would have absolutely loved this! β€οΈ
We are excited to announce our 5th Annual Jan Wright Memorial Program! Every year we love to see our community come together to create something wonderful in honor of Jan Wright. This year is no different. Clark's Garden & Floral Boutique is going to be leading a rustic floral arrangement in a super cute vintage truck planter!
π« To get your tickets come by the library before November 27th! π«
2023 marks my 28th SEMA Show - and I enjoy it more every year.
4.6 million square feet of exhibitor displays plus over 2 million square feet of outdoor exhibits - and two race/drifting tracks...There's no way to see it all in one week.
And...the new "Sphere" is pretty cool at night. π
Good Morning!
Heading in, walking alongside the drifting exhibition at the SEMA Show! πππ₯
