Fun With Heights

Just a friendly reminder to clean the condenser coils on your air conditioner's outside unit. You surely dont want your ac to break down now! Especially on account of something you could have prevented. I just finished cleaning the condenser in my son's 20 yr old car and i was shocked at how much colder it was blowing. Maintenance is key, people.

Just finished this beautiful tile fireplace surround. Havent even cleaned up yet. Still need to put the mantle on, but i just wanted to show off the tile.

Completed this kitchen reno last month. Moved the laundry to a hall closet that was modified to accomodate the plumbing and drainage needed for the washer.

I got a new sofa and the 3x4' pecan/cypress/maple/cherry coffee table i had built years ago was too big for it. So, i kept the top of it, cut it, added an african wenge border and built a new cypress base. Then...i floated it. I'm so in love with it now ❤️❤️
Also, i did my very first wood inlays on the legs! Inlayed some wenge pin stripes on the legs.
What yall think?

My customer made me the cutest lunch today! Nice when the hard work starts payin off lol

Check out this bi-fold door hardware i installed recently. It doesnt use a track and it provides FULL access in the opening. An ideal option if you have a closet turned craft corner or a small homework station in a hall closet.

Another lovely space created by Pretty Handy LLC ♥️. Alot of work went into this bathroom including replacing some floor joists and moving the door to another wall. And i couldnt be more please with the beautiful result.

I made this handrail for a wonderful customer a few weeks ago. I think it matches the existing guardrail perfectly 😁

Chad and I went all the way to Destrahan this weekend to build and install this lovely guardrail. We'll be heading back soon to install a matching handrail on the stairs, too.

March 5 was the start of Women in Construction Week. Running until March 11, 2023, this 25th annual week is a time to recognize and celebrate the women who work in the predominately male-dominated construction industry.

Got this house mostly gutted. And, after several surprise floor plan changes and some demo/construction/demo/construction, hopefully i'll have it put back together soon. ..fingers crossed, lol...

The customer was over the 1948 BiltWell Nu-Style radius edge cabinets that came with the house. And as high style as they were in their day, i had to agree with them. But, you cant get that quality today without putting a second mortgage on that pretty new house, so, enter Pretty Handy, LLC. , and...TA DA!!!!
I managed to keep the cost down while still delivering the quality they had and the look they loved.

There was a bathtub here...until i cut it up and hauled it off. Pretty soon this will be a beautiful modern shower. I'll keep ya posted!
(Also, i had a bunch of great helpers to get out the old tile. So this project may go faster than i thought!)

Here's one last pic of the the Broadmoor shower. This one includes the finished master bathroom, complete with the custom vanity i made just for this room.

Remember the shower with a 10yr old leak i showed you last month? Well...i fixed it 😀
I also retiled the bathroom floor, changed out all the elec sockets and switches, repaired some big roll up hurricane shutters, repaired a plumbing mystery in the kitchen, repaired some fence gates and had the whole interior painted. Now the place is for sale, so if you're intersted in a 3bed on Broadmoor, let me know and i'll get you in touch with the seller.
