St. John’s Cathedral in Lafayette, Louisiana, originally known as ‘St. Jean du Vermilion,’ holds a rich history in the heart of the Cajun Catholic community. Founded on land donated by Jean Mouton in 1821, the current church, built in the Dutch Romanesque Revival style, was completed in 1916. When the Diocese of Lafayette was established in 1918, the church became a cathedral, standing as a significant landmark in the region’s cultural and religious history.

Cypress Flats unit C is a super fun one, with fun touches of eclectic art and plants hanging from the rafters. This one bedroom, one bathroom unit is perfect for any downtown event or traveling to Lafayette. It has a full kitchen, with everything you need to cook and be comfortable for a longer stay, and fun touches throughout the space, such as a vintage record player that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. These units book quickly, so be sure to book your next stay today! 🤩

Cypress Flats Unit E has such a cool, modern vibe & is the perfect downtown hang out for festival, Mardi Gras & events! This 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment has an open kitchen, living, and dining area, which are fully stocked to cook while you're away. In the design we took advantage of the metal rafters and added some fun to the design. The light fixture over the dining table is both a light that changes colors & a Bluetooth speaker. Both bedrooms are attached to bathrooms. The master bath has a large soaking tub & a separate walk-in shower. One of the coolest features is the glass brick window in the hallway that adds a ton of natural light into the space. All of our units also include a washer & dryer, so it really is like a home away from home! Book now, before they book up!

Cypress Flats unit A, is my favorite space. Light, open, airy & rocking the boho theme with a touch of whimsy. This unit is our largest unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms & is designed to host up to 7 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals and even has a coffee bar stocked with coffee pods, coffee syrups, teas, etc. The oversized dining table allows plenty of room for the whole crew. The living room has a day bed that converts to two twins or one king, for extra sleeping. The master bedroom and bath are "to-die-for" with a massive soaking tub under a feathered chandelier. Stocked with bath bombs, and all of your bath needs, you won't need to bring anything from home. The second bedroom has both a queen bed & a twin bunk with lots of dresser drawers for extra storage. All of our units have first aid kits, fire extinguishers, blow dryers, extra fans, irons & ironing boards, etc. Not to forget the game room in the lobby area & the fire pit in the back yard. It really is the perfect spot to take a break from reality. Book your stay today!

Cypress Flats Unit B - This one bedroom, one bath apartment is located in the Cypress Flats, only one block from Jefferson St. It has a relaxed, open, beachy vibe. 🏖

The main living area is one large open space that includes the kitchen, living area, desk space & an island with stools. It's the perfect spot for hanging out with friends and family during festivals, local events & while traveling.

The bathroom is rather large & spacious to get ready for a night out on the town.

The bedroom has an incredible mattress & is completely closed off for extra dark sleep. There is also a full sized closet & a washer & dryer.

The building itself has a game room in the main lobby with Foosball, board games, vintage arcade games & more! The back yard has a fire pit for hanging out at night & a bike rack for those who chose to tour the city on two wheels.

In addition, we have our own private parking lot, so parking is free during the busiest festivities.
