Flying our kites in this beautiful spring weather.

Now that it is Spring, it’s time to work in our garden. 🌹💐🌱

We would love for you to come visit us!

Look at our friends working on their fine motor skills by marble painting king cakes. They are focused on creating colorful art but we know they are also working on important skills like hand strength and coordination.

We have been having ”snow” much fun learning about winter weather and polar animals. One of our favorite activities was painting with ice!

Who knew you could do so many things with pumpkins? We explored the inside of a pumpkin, made pumpkin seed sensory bags, rolled pumpkins up the hill, made a pretend pumpkin patch, transported pumpkins in wheelbarrows, and even made our pumpkins into geoboards! What a great 🎃 week!

One of our favorite parts of All About Me week was when Mrs. Amanda led the group in the “Guess the eyes” game. This was one of the many activities that taught us we are all different and unique. Those differences are what makes our world such a special place!

The Lab is full of smiles, laughter, and joy as our little friends started back this week. Looking forward to a great year of playing, learning, and discovering.

Our students found a 🐛 friend on the playground which led to building a habitat. Nature contains so many valuable learning experiences for children! 🦋

Geoboards are a great way to work on those fine motor skills as well as math skills. Our friends had fun making new shapes and working together at this center!

Welcome back to our students! We spent the day exploring our theme of the week-Winter.

What better way to wrap up our Transportation week than with a bike (and scooter and cozy coupe) parade?

We found so many ways to learn and play with pumpkins 🎃 this week! From counting to rolling to experimenting, we had fun!

We have been working hard on our garden. Not only are we using gross motor and fine motor skills, we are also learning patience, perseverance, and responsibility. So much learning and discovering wrapped into one project!

It was fun celebrating Homecoming Week! We started with Louisiana theme centers and ended the week with a field trip to visit the Athletic Department. We are ready for a win tomorrow! Geaux Cajuns!!

We have started our new school year the best way….learning, playing, exploring, and discovering. What a beautiful way to spend our days!

Take a peek 👀 at our small group activities this week! Every day, our children participate in “Small Group” time where they have time to practice skills for which they are showing readiness! 📚🧮

We kicked off “Farm Week” with lots of learning and fun! 🐷 🐮 🐔

🎶 Music, movement, 🏃🏾‍♂️and playfulness 🥳are essential components to helping preschool children learn things such as letters!

Try this game, “Feed the Bunny,” for practicing letters during Easter - 🐰 🥕

🥕Sprinkle letter “carrot” cards on the floor
🎵 Sing “Here comes Peter Cotton Tail, hopping down the bunny trail. Hippity, hoppity Easter’s on its way....” while kids dance around the cards.
🐰 When the song ends, every child picks up a card and says the letter’s name and/or sound. Then, feed the carrot to the bunny!

Spring weather means it’s time to make bird feeders, fly kites, and observe the clouds! ☀️ 🌸🐦 🪁 ⛅️ 🌧
