9 Ten Design

Water and air is human and animals basic needs. As a non-toxic designer my focus is to select materials that do not pollute our water or negatively impact air quality. What’s is harmful to those areas is just as harmful with brining them into your home.

I had an incredible experience this past Wednesday evening with ; all five of my senses were awakened by the Enchanted Black Forest. The evening started with meeting the team from Gaggenau, Developers, and other like-minded interior designers. After some introductions and mingling, a representative led us through the proper way of tasting caviar and offered Four different types of caviar to taste. My favorite was Ossertra; the taste was mild, rich, buttery, and perfectly paired with champagne.

The invite for the event mentioned caviar and champagne tasting, but I had yet to learn the experience was beyond that. Dinner in the Enchanted Black Forest was the next phase of this already lux experience. Walking into the dining room that the Black Forest inspired was visually breathtaking. The fragrance from the fresh plants and flowers transported me to a magical world. artistically and tastefully created a six-course meal, including two different desserts. The creative pairing of ingredients and presentation was inspiring. Chef Bobby came out before each course and walked us through each dish. Of course, each dish was paired with a specific wine to complete the taste from start to finish. The pockets of grapefruit in a rich white asparagus sauce were simply amazing! I can only close out this post by giving recognition that Chef Bobby foraged spruce needles for one of the desserts. The oil that topped off the German buckwheat crumble was infused with the spruce needle.

Almost complete! Next up are the custom dining chairs. The chairs will pull the design all together and I can’t wait for it. Unfortunately I’ve been informed they are now pushed out 6 weeks! So close, but so far.

Having this seal of approval from has weight. Being an asthmatic I know first hand what I breath in effects my health. Knowing that has taken one step further to have their appliances tested for their effectiveness to clean and disinfect clothing for people with compromised lungs is a win towards better health.

Putting together the final touches for my clients family old world meets new world gaming room. This room represents their experiences through travel and family time. These hand pressed, hand painted pieces of art collected on their travels need to be spot lighted. Through custom framing, we’ve come up with two options. Which do you like best option one or option two?

Instead of an accent wall I’ll be planning a wine cave wall. Who’s in? 🍷

Mother’s Day outing with all of my boys. Music and Art has always filled my cup. My goal is to expose Both boys with all different mediums of art.

We walked through the modern art exhibit, Alexander McQueen exhibit 🤯 and Barbara Kruger exhibit. She’s got some words and I love it! You can see how her work has influenced street wear brands. Being bold and speaking up. 📢

Mother’s Day

4 more days till I head out to Napa and Sonoma! WOW what an itinerary! and have out done themselves. 3 days of interactive cooking demonstrations along with actually using some of the appliances ourselves. Some wine tasting, chocolate pairing and site seeing. Follow myself along with 30 other designers that will be joining for some behind the scene action all week long.

This or that? Which combo do you like? When Working with clients, I provide options. I do this to engage with my clients giving them the ability to get involved with the process. Bonus each option chosen can be intermixed so that a hybrid can be created. This thought process allows me to stretch my creativity and invite my clients into the process.
