Hi! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Michelle, and I’m the owner of Salon Aficionado…Orange County’s Curly Hair Specialists.

Here are a few fun facts about me…

➡️ I’ve been specializing in cutting waves and curls for 6 years.
➡️ I was a color specialist before I found my passion with naturally textured hair.

I always love seeing Dilinus! He’s doing everything he needs to maintain his healthy curls. He comes in for his scheduled cuts 2-3 times per year and uses products that are free of silicones and oils.

I can’t take credit for that amazing fade. He has a barber that fades him up every couple of weeks keeping the perimeter clean.

What a transformation!? This gentleman came in with a picture of what he wanted, and we were able to achieve his desired result.

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is, “Which products should I use?”

I use primarily Innersense Organic Beauty (link in bio) on myself and on my clients. I choose these products because of their quality ingredients. Hydration and moisture are the key to healthy curls.

Keep your routine simple by choosing water soluble products. Products containing heavy butters and oils will block water causing dehydration over time.

I’ve been hearing that the new trend is no layering or just a little bit of layering.

I think that can work on some people, but it will depend on the look you’re going for.

Michelle is comfortable with less layering, and the style compliments her well. Her hair is medium density with a fine to medium texture. What that means is that I’m able to do less layering and not see a triangular effect on her.
