Great job, 6th grade! 🦅
6th Grade Service Project
The 6th-grade students recently completed their grade-level service project. Students were asked to complete 5 services for others in the community to collect donations for the Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue and the Hobo Hotel for Cats. Our students completed 193 service hours and raised over $3,200! Their services included babysitting, pulling weeds, dog walking, washing cars, and so much more! Students then worked in groups to research and calculate the best unit prices in town for items that were running low at these shelters. With the money they worked for, students purchased over 120 bulk items. Students also graphed their collected data using time worked and dollars earned. We are so proud of their dedication to serving our community!

Yesterday we celebrated our annual Eagle Flight Reunion. EDS seniors, as well as other local seniors who are EDS alumni, paraded through the North campus halls one last time. They reconnected with former teachers, reminisced on memories made, and enjoyed lunch with their families in the cafeteria. We are excited for their future and honored to be a part of their past. 🦅
Thank you, Senator Jeremy Stine, for spending some time with our third graders. What a unique learning opportunity!
