Hosting a foreign exchange student means opening your home and your heart to a teen from another country while they attend your local public high school.
ISE has many different hosting programs available. Opportunities are available for periods of 5 months, 10 months or a full 12 month program, with the most common being the 10 month academic year program. Exchange Students who participate in the program have been carefully screened before their acceptance. Participants are selected based on their academic achievements and their extracurricular int

We have EXCITING news!!
With covid our formal orientations stopped, student gatherings, holidayparties,in person meetings etc.
This next hosting season we are bringing it all back!!

One the Bayou Region’s own, Marco spent the day helping to rebuild the coastline by planting grass.
Restoring Southwest Louisiana waterways with “floating islands” Students and volunteers gathered together today to help rebuild the coastline, by installing what they call “floating islands” in efforts to restore coastal waterways in Southwest Louisiana.

Meet Marie!!!
My name is Marie and I am 15 years old. I live in a village in central Germany. My school is very small and everyone knows everyone. My family consists of myself, my parents and my older sister. I really enjoy sports, spending time with my family and friends. I am very excited to spend an exchange year in the USA. I am very interested in getting to know your culture and meet new people.
