“These past 3 years as your massage therapist have been so rewarding and fulfilling. However, I will be taking a step back from massaging starting at the beginning of August.

I’ve been transparent with our clients about the issues I’ve had with my joints which all started with shoulder surgery in January 2022. While that was thankfully successful, for the past year and a half or so I’ve been dealing with issues in both my wrists and both elbows. I spoke to three different orthopedic doctors (one who specialized in hands, one who specialized in shoulders, and one who specialized in elbows) who all said the same thing: that my joints wouldn’t get better as long as I’m massaging full time. To alleviate some pressure on my body, I took a job with an elementary school and ended up finding myself with a new-found passion for education. With that said, I have accepted a position as a Kindergarten teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

I will still be available at the Cottage for spray tans or just to catch up with some of my favorite people…you guys! I’ve done a LOT of praying over this and I’m so excited for this new journey! I thank every single one of you who has trusted me with your muscular health. I highly recommend several massage therapists in the Lake City area who are so knowledgeable and talented and would be more than happy to pass along their info!
