ATTENTION students, if you are attending college in Columbia and are interested in serving as a legislative page in our Senate office we would love to have you!

It’s important that we look out for our area at every opportunity possible, so we want to give students from our district and the P*e Dee region first opportunity to work in the Senate office. Serving as a legislative page is an important responsibility and provides an up-close inside look at how the legislature operates and allows you to have a “front-row” seat to our state’s most important debates in committee and on the Senate floor, and help make a difference in your community by helping our office respond to the needs of our constituents.

Don’t tell the other Senators…but we like to think our office is the best too!

Senate page positions are paid hourly and hours can be flexible based on a student’s class schedule. All majors and areas of studies are accepted, you do NOT have to be a government, politics or law major. If you’re interested in applying or learning more, please email my Senate office Administrative Assistant at [email protected].

About the Tour
The roots of African American history runs deep in South Carolina, providing a rich history that spans over three centuries and every corner of the state.
Stories of the enslaved and free people of color to civil rights activists, politicians, educators, pastors and many more all contributed to this history. The constant struggle for equality and freedom is often seen in these stories.
Lake City was no exception and this rich legacy lives on in the city at historical sites, remnants, oral histories, and cultural traditions.
