New grad publishes first graphic novel Print and digital publishing major Jaime Harris ’18 published their first graphic novel, Pivot, prior to graduating this past May.
Notable American novelist Jane Hamilton was this year’s Commencement speaker. In her address, “Lessons from my Tyrant,” Hamilton told a story of perseverance, self-development, and growth.

If you missed Cap and Gown Pick-Up yesterday, you can pick up your cap, gown and tickets in the Alumni Office (3rd floor of North Hall) from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. until Wednesday, May 9.
Cap and Gown Pick-Up is tomorrow from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Pierson Rooms in the Student Center.
If you can't be there during that time, you can pick up your package at the Alumni Office (3rd floor of North Hall) between 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. from Wednesday, April 25 through Wednesday, May 9.

Jeanne McDonald ’19 wins Goldwater Scholarship!

Students workers must do by tomorrow!
Lake Forest College is transitioning its payroll services to ADP. Student workers need to register for the ADP Portal by no later than Wednesday, February 7, 2018. All student workers will be required to report their worked time online through the ADP Portal starting with the February 11th pay period. Please refer to the email sent January 31 by Jessica West. New students start this fall at Lake Forest College
Enrollment Lake Forest College welcomed 422 first-year students to campus this fall. Forty six percent of the Class of 2018 is from outside Illinois and students hail from 34 states and 39 countries. In addition to English, there are 46 languages spoken among the new group of students.

Your health insurance waiver is due today! If you are covered under your parent's health insurance, you can waive the insurance automatically provided by the College.

Throughout New Student Orientation, you will be exposed to a number of opportunities to engage with the rigorous academic program at Lake Forest College. We will offer you a variety of opportunities to explore your major by showcasing pre-professional workshops from each academic department. We will help you explore the City of Chicago and how it can best work for you through the First Year Studies Chicago Day experience. Are you a first year fall athlete? The Gates Center is proud to partner with Lake Forest College Athletics to host the athletic orientation program. As a participant in the Athletic Orientation program, you’ll be connected to other first year fall athletes in a small group setting, lead by a returning fall athlete, who will serve as your Athletic Orientation Guide, or AOG. AOGs are great resources and will be there to offer you advice and encouragement throughout the Orientation program.
