Indulge in a 60-minute restorative yin class led by Kelly featuring essential oils and personalized adjustments for relaxation, muscle stretching, and fascia release. By holding the poses for 3-7 minutes, it promotes deep healing and a meditative experience.

“Fitness has always been an important part of my life. I have a degree in Physical Education and Sociology which I brought to the fitness industry, working as a program director, fitness instructor and trainer. I later went on to get a graduate degree in education and, as a teacher, enjoyed the opportunity to coach Track and Field and Cross Country, sharing my passion for running.
Several years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, which explained my inability to continue running. Thankfully, my daughters had introduced me to Yoga. Yoga became a significant part of my healing, allowing me to stay active. I love hiking, biking, x-country skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and traveling: to do these activities with family and friend is my greatest joy! Practicing Yoga daily and incorporating an anti-inflammatory diet has allowed me to go off pain medication. This journey has healed me in other ways, and I am so grateful!
I completed a 200-Hour RYT Training at Up Dog School of Yoga in 2020. Stepping into teaching now is such a privilege and I am looking forward to helping others grow and heal in the unique journey that Yoga offers.”

As of today 8/1/2024, Samantha Piro is an official co-OWNER of Yoga Onyx!! Samantha brings a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, passion, and drive into the studio and I am relieved and blessed to have her along side me. Samantha teaches multiple classes at Onyx and is also a licensed therapist. She is currently seeing clients out of our office space, here at the studio. When you see her next, please congratulate her and welcome her as co owner!!

She chose Eagle Pose as pose of the month which is also known as Garudasana 🦅
The benefits are it improves balance, focus, and postural and body awareness. It stretches around your shoulders, upper back, and thighs, as it strengthens your core, thighs, legs, and ankles.

You just don’t come across humans quite like this one very often 🫶🏻 So with a bit of a heavy heart, Melissa Harris is on to a new adventure and we couldn’t be more excited for her! You will be missed!
