Today, the Oakland County Medical Authority acknowledged several Orion Township personnel with an Achievement in Excellence for exceptional patient care performed on two separate calls. The knowledge, quick-thinking, decisiveness, and dedication these individuals displayed during these incidents were remarkable. It is because of the extraordinary pre-hospital care they received that these patients survived and are thriving today!

Today as OTFD and several other departments were recognized, it was a great reminder of how important and crucial EMS personnel and services are. The timing of such a reminder comes during National EMS week, and the 50th anniversary of EMS services at that! OTFD is extremely proud of the knowledge, skills, empathy, and dedication that all of our personnel exemplify every day, on every call.
Our new hires are currently completing the department’s orientation process. During the next couple of weeks, they will be learning how OTFD specifically operates, completing required trainings, and bonding with the crews!
May 4th is International Fire Fighters Day! Thank you to our OTFD firefighters for your brave and dedicated service to the community!
Today would have been past Fire Chief, Jack Caylor’s, 114th birthday! Thank you to Chief Caylor's family for sharing these incredible photos and history of the department with us.
The Orion Township Fire Department would like to welcome our 5 new firefighters. We are excited to have you join our team.
