Dear Clients and Friends of the Pixton Law Group,
I am writing to announce that my practice is closed to new clients.
I have made arrangements with a colleague and friend for 30 years, Rob Fotheringham of Vial-Fotheringham LLP, to take care of my clients who need services for estate planning, business formation, trust administration and probate and such related matters. Rob has over 30 years of experience, he is 15 years younger than me and his office is just a few doors down the hall. Here is his contact info:
Rob Fotheringham
Vial Fotheringham LLP

I am comfortable entrusting Rob with your needs for amendments, updates, administration, and the like, and I think you will like him. If you are a current or past client, he will have access to your electronic file. His phone number is 503-684-4111. Of course, you may select a different attorney at any time.
With regard to long term care planning, Medicaid eligibility, guardianships and conservatorships, here are a list of four attorneys I trust to help you with those issues.
Alana Hawkins (L/O)- 503-949-6703
Geoff Bernhardt (John’s Landing) - 503-548-4000
Michael Edgel (West Linn) 503-765-8400
Whitney Yazzolino and Julie Rowett (NE) 503-284-6778
By the way, in the last several years there have been significant changes in IRA distribution rules and changes in federal estate tax thresholds that affect older trusts with tax savings provisions. If you have a trust for husband and wife that calls for division of assets at the first death, I strongly recommend that you contact Rob to review your trust provisions as well as your beneficiary designations for tax deferred accounts. You may need a tune-up.
It has been an honor to serve you; working with you has been most rewarding and I will miss our acquaintance. I wish the best in the future for you and your family.
Sincerely,
Tom Pixton
