There are absolutely no words. Such a huge loss of such an amazing man. The ripple effect of his loss will be felt by many. Our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones for whom there are many. Such a treasure of a soul, gone far too soon.

The Lake Placid News has confirmed through Dmitry Feld's coworkers at USA Luge that he passed away earlier this afternoon. More details will be published as we get them. Look for memorial stories in the LPN and the Adirondack Daily Enterprise as the days progress. He will be missed by many. We are deeply saddened by this news and wish his family, friends and the entire community condolences at this time.

The general public can try co****le Saturday, Sept. 2 from noon to 4 p.m., followed by an exhibition match between club competitors from 4 to 5 p.m.

The woodsmen will be featured Sunday from 11:40 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. and 2:45 to 3:30 p.m.

(public tasting events – prepared by competitive teams)

Two teams have had to drop out unfortunately due to travel/family issues. That leaves only two teams that will have samples. Get here fast and early so you don’t miss out! Only a certain amount of pork is made by each team and it’s DELICIOUS!
