We are so pleased to welcome Sofia Molina back to PCPS!
Molina has joined Willow Oak School as a kindergarten teacher, just two years after graduating as Summerlin Academy's salutatorian. She was dual enrolled at Polk State College while attending Summerlin and is clearly on the fast track in her teaching career.
"She is truly a go-getter and remained focused on her goals during her time here. We are so proud of her," said Cynthia Downing, commandant of Summerlin Academy.
Willow Oak Principal Michelle Townley also had high praise for Molina.
"She was an exemplary intern this fall, and as we gained a teaching unit I knew I had to jump on the chance to get her on staff," Townley said. "Her instructional delivery skills, rapport with students and genuine care and concern simply amazed us all! She is a shining example of what is right with Polk County Public Schools."
Congratulations Ms. Molina!
