I’m experimenting with a new style focused on texture, color and high chroma. Please tell me what you think of my new direction in landscape painting.

I'm now a Wall Artist at the "New" Red House Gallery in Black Mountain North Carolina and participated in their First Show, appropriately titled "Making Changes". Enjoy.

If you are already have a cafe account and are logged in, you will have to click on the invitation only tab and type in CRA2024 and you must use capital letters and no spaces. If you are then accepted you will be required to submit a sketch for which you will be paid $100.00. When your sketch is approved and your mural is finished you will be paid an additional $600.00.

I had hoped that someone would give me a compelling reason as to why they deserved to receive these art books. In my opinion no one did. So I've decided to bring them to the Lakeland Arts Association (formerly Lakeland Art Guild Artists & Friends) monthy meeting on January 11th. at First Presbyterian Church. You do not have to be a member to attend their meeting. Come early, it begins at 6:30.

It (and the exhibit) is the work of local artist, David Nelson Collins! This gorgeous show features paintings made en plein air on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Come see the show Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm through the end of the month. David will also be hosting a special gallery talk this Sunday, September 25th, at noon. Come out to support some local art!
