Everyday I put cobs out for these chunky squirrels!

I’m covering my tractor roads with wood chips. So in the summer you can use then to walk in between the the corn. Walking trails, golf cart trails, no mudd and dust . Plus you might see the deer too!

A reminder to everyone.
The dumpster is for house hold trash only.
This means no lawnmowers, tv’s , tires, batteries, ect…
So who ever dropped off the electric mower, please take it home.
The trash service will not take these items, and we are not in the salvage business.

The fish house will be closed until the temperatures at night stay above 35*.
There is a 1/2 bath in the shelter house that is open.

Here is a trailer for sale at another camp on the portage river in Port Clinton.
This is someone selling their trailer for what the real value of the trailer is .
I’m the past few years people are selling their trailer’s for way more than they are worth.
Remember, the property is not part of the selling price! Asking $50,000 to $ 75,000.00 for a trailer in our park is an example. The seller’s reason is because of the location. Once again, the property is not yours. The property is a camp ground.
So ask what you want, if it’s a unreasonable, unrealistic price then pull it out and see what you get for it.
We own the property, pay the property taxes. No more profiting from using our property to over sell a trailer.
Enough of this out of control selling at unrealistic prices!
Remember, we don’t have to rent the site to the buyer. And the site belongs to Kotts Camp.

Please read, this is the main reason we have rules for our camp. We are licensed by the Ottawa County Health Department. We must follow the guidelines set forth by the county and State of Ohio health departments.

FYI

Summer camping season is APRIL 15th to October 15 th.
Winter season, ( year around Residents), is October 15 th to April 15 th.

If you are here after Oct. 31 st , you will be charged for the winter season this year. Starting the 2023 season, October 15 th is the day your trailer must be winterized and closed till April 15th.
This notice is effective immediately, and will be enforced with no exceptions.
A news letter will be mailed to you next week explaining this change.

Attn: To those who wish to stay latter in the year or come up early.
We understand that there is Charter Captains and other people who want to come up early in the spring, and stay open latter in the fall.
With that said, You must let us know in advance . We will pro rate the rent for an extra month at a time.
However if you do not contact us and stay without telling us, you will be charged the full winter rates.

We will be monitoring the camp.
The reason behind all this is that # 1.) The amount you pay in lot rent is for one season or two seasons if you have already made that decision and been approved.
#2.) It is not fair to those who stay and pay for 2 seasons.
We are not saying you have to be out on 15 Oct, what we are saying is that if you stay latter or come up earlier, then your rent will be adjusted at a rate of a one month extra at a time .
Once again , a news letter will be mailed out this week.

Can’t believe Sunday is the last day of our camping season ! Seemed like yesterday when we were all opening our campers for the summer now here we are already winterizing 😢 Summer went by too fast!
We wish everyone a safe and healthy winter and will see everyone in April.

Please do not put grease or “ FLUSHABLE WIPES”, in the sinks or toilets.
Toilet paper only.
Two days of jetting out lines, cleaning lines, digging up lines and repairing sewer lines.

The only way in or out of Kotts Camp is the West driveway entrance.
The East entrance is blocked off due to the one way traffic on St.Rt 163.
Please enter and exit using the West entrance. (The one closest to Channel Grove).

The Ice Man has cometh!
We found a ice company to service our camp with Ice.
$2.00 for a 5lb bag. This is at our cost , sans the electric bill to run the ice box.
The previous company pulled the previous ice bin, said we didn’t sell enough ice.
Looking forward to having Ice Again!

Attention to those who clean fish at our fish house.
There are 2 freezers to put fish guts in. DO NOT , I REPEAT , DO NOT OVER FILL THE FREEZER!
Tonight I emptied one that was so jammed full that the lid was open a good 3 inches. The light melted the cover to the light and was melting the trash bags. There was smoke coming from the freezer lid!
The other freezer had 1 BAG IN IT!
Please people , THINK!
Only campers are to use the fish cleaning facility that use their private boats and are cleaning their own fish.
This should not have to be explained to grown ass men!
