Women of Trinity - The only thing more joyous than spending time together is spending that time together in service and ministry. Many hands do make light work - and a whole lot of fun and fellowship. We want to put our boots on the ground for an up-coming service opportunity in support of our great Godventure, Restored Thrift Store. There are going to be a variety of opportunities to assist in prepping the building, moving, sorting, displaying merchandise as well as stocking some shelves and signing up as cashiers. We will be able to turn out in larger numbers for some of this service but some needs will just require a few good women, a bucket and a mop. A link has been provided below and all the service needs will be shared through this link. Call a friend with whom you love to spend quality time and make this some amazingly fruitful quality time in being the hands, feet and heart of our new outreach to our community. Thanks! We'll see you there, sisters!

One more week until our Picture Perfekt Morning in May and one more “taste” of our topic: well-laid plans that famously flopped. Today Jenita Pace joins the post with her Perfekt Dinner Party plan:
“I didn't know how to cook but wanted to learn, especially after Tim and I bought our first house in Bloomington. I decided to invite my parents over for dinner and searched for just the perfect recipes to make. I wanted to start the evening meal with soup and found a bean soup that was in an easy recipe magazine.
The recipe called for three cans of beans. When I got to the store, I noticed bagged beans were so much cheaper than canned beans! I took pride in my thriftiness as I saved money, buying them in a bag. I went home and began cooking. To my chagrin, the beans were hard and when my parents arrived, we tried to eat the soup. My mom felt so bad for me. She tried to salvage each person's bowl of soup by straining the beans out but to no avail. It became known as Jenita's Crunchy Soup.”

We hope you plan to be with us for the next TCW (Trinity Church Women) event on May 6th. We are calling it the Picture Perfekt Morning in May and we will have several of our sisters share some moments in their lives when the carefully planned Perfect Moment just….. wasn’t!
Jenny Schmitzjoins our page today to share her moment. Jenny is an accomplished photographer but she recalls when her best laid plans for that Perfect Baby Picture simply failed:
“I saw these beautiful pictures on Pinterest of newborn babies cuddled peacefully in a cast of their mom's pregnant belly. So I enlisted my mom's help and we got my big belly all casted up. Then after Jackson was born, I set to work to recreate that amazing photo. Only problem was I waited a little too long to try to get my precious little baby back into fetal position for the actual photo shoot. He was probably two weeks too old and would NOT go to sleep peacefully and pose for me!" But let the picture speak for itself- and Jackson!
Celebrate Perfektion with us!

We’ve invited Annie Watts to give you a preview with her account of the perfect first impression she had planned to make on her future husband’s ‘people’:
Christmas Break 1977- going home with Tim to meet his friends and parents for a snowmobile outing. Cute new hat and mittens and she’s looking fine. As an inexperienced snowmobiler she obediently follows the leader right up the side of a very steep hill. Realizing her peril, she grabs a small tree and holds on for dear life until Tim comes to the rescue.
She continues “I should have sat down and just slid down this steep hill, but I was trying to make that good first impression and didn’t think that would look too lady-like. So I took baby steps, which quickly turned into larger steps, and soon I lost all footing and rolled like a beach ball down the rest of the hill, landing right in front of everyone. I was hoping the earth (or snow) would just swallow me up… I was so embarrassed. I really wanted to cry but I dug deep and just started laughing hysterically… and all my new friends joined me in a good laugh. It’s still talked about to this day, so even though it wasn’t the perfect first impression, it was a memorable one!”
As always invite your friends & family to join us!

As requested, here are the lyrics to the song sung by Kim Bardwell to finish out our "Favorite Things" brunch:
"Where Shepherds Lately Knelt".
Where shepherds lately knelt
and kept the angel's word,
I come in half belief,
a pilgrim strangely stirred,
but there is room and welcome there for me,
but there is room and welcome there for me.
In that unlikely place
I find him as they said:
sweet newborn babe, how frail!
and in a manger bed,
a still, small voice to cry one day for me,
a still, small voice to cry one day for me.
How should I not have known
Isaiah would be there,
his prophecies fulfilled?
With pounding heart I stare:
a child, a son, the Prince of Peace for me,
a child, a son, the Prince of Peace for me.
Can I, will I forget
how love was born, and burned
its way into my heart
unasked, unforced, unearned,
to die, to live, and not alone for me,
to die, to live, and not alone for me.
We are so thankful for each and every one of you!
