It’s a flurry of activity the week before the Parade of Homes Twin Cities begins. I’ve learned to have backup plans to my backup plan, build in extra help and margin each day, and communicate A LOT during that week to ensure we get the homes ready for visitors in time. Now that the crazy is over, I get to finally digest all we accomplished (TEAMWORK) and enjoy the photos and feedback, which makes it all worth it. 🤍

Here’s a snapshot of our process.

Details are pre-planned at the warehouse - right down to the last shelf and table - the day or few days before stage day.

When we arrive at the home it’s more a matter of implementing the plan, rather than putting it together on the spot. While we do make edits and changes on the fly (gotta be resourceful, creative and flexible!) most everything has a place it was planned specifically for.

We aim to create a warm and inviting space, but also not overfill, so buyers can be inspired and still imagine how they might make it their own.

We get it - staging is an INVESTMENT. But it has an incredible return and we hear over and over again how much it makes a difference in the sale speed and sale price of a home.

Here's a glowing testimonial from a client we recently had the pleasure of staging for.

"My wife and I are selling our home. This was an unexpected sale as we are relocating back to PA due to a business opportunity. We bought this house just last year and put a lot of love into it. Sharlene suggested that we use a professional stager.

We specifically chose this light fixture because it looks both home office and dining room - whatever the new homeowners want it to be. But we staged it as an office.

Even though removing the wallpaper from this room wasn’t in the budget, it was one of the items we thought we could work with and I think the room turned out fantastic!
