It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved former teacher, Susie Substad. In early 2023, Susie was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and has spent the last year with her growing family and continuing to love on her communities.

Susie was a longtime member of our CHA family as a parent and as a teacher, dedicating over 15 years of her life to nurturing and guiding our students in their faith and education journey.

Her passion for teaching, integrating the Bible into every part of her curriculum, and her heart for missions has left a lasting impact on CHA and the many people she taught. She is deeply missed. The CHA community would not be the same without Susie’s dedication and heart for our school. Her legacy will continue to live throughout the many staff and students she impacted. We grieve with hope, knowing that Heaven is promised to those who follow Christ. Susie is healed and whole, rejoicing with Jesus.

Please join us in keeping her family in prayer during this time. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 18 at Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville, MN.
Visitation: 12:00pm, Celebration Service: 2:00pm.

What a magical evening it was at the First Daddy/Daughter Dance hosted by CHA!
The girls dressed in their finest attire alongside their dapper dads. sharing precious moments on the dance floor, every memory created tonight will be cherished forever. Some even made it a complete evening with a special dinner before the festivities began! Thank you to everyone who made this event unforgettable.

What a proud moment! The talented 2nd grade students in Mrs. Gier's class have become published authors with their book "Animals"! After weeks of dedicated research, writing, and illustrating their special pages, they showcased their hard work at a "Meet the Authors" event for friends and family. Congratulations to these budding authors and their supportive teacher, Mrs. Gier!
