It's that time of year, time for our Panther Fun Run! The Fun Run is the largest fundraiser of the year at South Lakewood Elementary School. The funds are raised by the SLE PTA and 100% of the money raised goes directly back to our students and staff to provide the enriching programs supported by the PTA. Our goal is to meet, or exceed, the $30,000 raised last year! This supports the basic annual programs provided by PTA like school clubs, field trips, teacher grants, scholarships, class parties, and more! Thanks to the Healthy School Meals for All (HSMA) program, the district will continue to provide all students with one breakfast and one lunch daily at no cost through the 2024-25 school year, regardless of income eligibility. Though meals are free for all Jeffco students, families are still encouraged to visit SchoolCafé and complete a Student Benefits Application.

While this application does not determine your student’s access to meals under the HSMA program, it may help their school secure additional state or federal funding. Additionally, your student(s) may be eligible for other benefits, such as school-related fees or testing fees, based on information provided on the application.

💙💛Fourth Graders had a special visit from a very well known bear, Smokey the Bear! Thank you to the City of Lakewood Arborists Luke and John for visiting SLE to share all about trees and the importance of taking care of nature🌲

💛💙🧡🖤Way to go 5th grade musicians!! Our 5th grade students performed on Monday night with all the elementary schools in our Lakewood articulation area! Shout out to our Band Teacher, Mr. Larsen, and Orchestra Teacher, Mr. West. Our Panthers did a wonderful job!! 🎶🎼🎵
