Ready for the next round of breaking mortgage myths? As mentioned last time, government loans are a great option for many buyers, but unfortunately are often misunderstood and overlooked. Here are some additional things you may not know about FHA loans:

1) Often close in the same amount of time as conventional loans. 2) Can be used to buy single-family homes, two-to-four-unit multifamily homes, condominiums, and certain manufactured homes. 3) Properties must meet minimum appraisal standards; however, the process is not fundamentally stricter from any other loan. 4) Roofs do not have to be perfect, they only need to have a remaining physical life of at least two years.

It is with mixed emotions that we share with you that our dear friend Dan Latimer - Loan Originator has decided to retire. Danny has served our great industry with honor, integrity, and yes, never ending HUMOR for 30 plus years. When things got stressful we could all count on Danny to bring the temperature down and a laugh to the moment.
