We enjoyed our visit with Community Partnership Family Resource Center in Woodland Park this week. The organization is using a $4,000 grant to create educational demonstration gardens and expand their community garden project with a new greenhouse. It is all looking great. We can’t wait to see the new greenhouse!

It is that time of year, where harvests are coming in full-force. Colorado Farm to Table, Inc. in Salida donates more than 100,000 pounds of produce annually to food banks in Colorado including Food Bank of the Rockies in Denver and Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado in Colorado Springs. It is amazing what they do with their 15 acre farm. Colorado Garden Foundation awarded them a $5,000 grant this year to further their efforts!!

Less than one month until the 2024 Colorado Fall Home Show Sept. 13 - 15 at the Colorado Convention Center. Did you know..proceeds from the Show are given back to the community in the form of horticulture grants & scholarships.
From the 2023 proceeds we awarded a $1,000 grant to EarthLinks to expand their garden and education program. The veggies are donated to people plus they use some for cooking classes! Great to see all of their hard work.
Colorado Garden Foundation awarded a $10,000 grant to the Town of Bristol for their Showcase Garden. It isn’t quite complete yet but the progress looks great! Plants are coming once the irrigation is installed!! We can't wait to see the final product.
Sister Carmen Community Center in Lafayette use a $9,200 grant from Colorado Garden Foundation to install an orchard! Great work!
Grant Spotlight! A $5,000 grant was awarded to the Denver Public Schools' Department of Sustainability to put in 12 new school gardens. It is great how they incorporate the kids into these environments!
Yesterday we toured Redwood Corp in Denver. The organization was awarded a $6,000 grant from Colorado Garden Foundation to expand and update the community garden. In 2023, Redwood Corp donated 3,000 lbs of veggies to food banks and will surpass that amount this year. Great work!!
Last week we visited the Loaves and Fishes Ministries of Fremont County. This is a very neat project - the organization used a $6,000 grant from Colorado Garden Foundation to install a garden to help educate & to feed people in the area through the food bank.
We were fortunate to go on a 2nd grant visit yesterday. Colorado Garden Foundation awarded a $2,500 grant to Rocky Mountain MS Center. The organization made improvements to the King Adult Day Program.
We enjoyed our visit today with Broomfield FISH. Colorado Garden Foundation awarded Broomfield FISH a $10,000 grant to create & install a community teaching garden, which is also growing veggies for a foodbank.
Grant Spotlight! Jovial Concepts was awarded a $15,000 grant from Colorado Garden Foundation to improve the Feeding Many farm in Morrison. They invested in creating an orchard, community garden, bee hives, and even grapes. What a great project!

We enjoyed our visit with Denver Jewish Day School yesterday and seeing the Farmette. The school made updates to the Farmette with a $6,300 grant from Colorado Garden Foundation.
Colorado Garden Foundation once again, supported the Anchor Center for Blind Children in Denver this year. The organization used an $11,000 grant to further the horticulture therapy program!
