READY, SET, GO!
We bought our dream fixer upper!!!
It took us almost 7 months to close this deal, so you can imagine that we have some big plans for renovating and restoring this gem! Some will be DIY, and the big stuff with be done by
Y’all know I love to paint and sand… well, up first will be painting walls/ceilings/trim and sanding the origional pine floors.
Who’s ready to see some transformative?! 😄
We have dreamed of finding the perfect “fixer upper” for the past 3 years and can’t believe it’s finally happening! ✨
The “new” house is 2 blocks away, nextdoor to my sister, and across the street from Jeremy’s parents. We love our community here and are so blessed that moving will not change that for us.
The Center Street house was build in 1890 and we can’t wait to get the chance to restore it to its former glory.
John Blase has been the owner of this house for 49 years, and our neighbor for 10 years. When we heard that he was thinking of selling, we started praying and the Lord has done nothing but up open doors for us ever since.
Our plan is to rent our current house on Henry Street, then eventually turn it into a B&B.
Thank you for joining us on this journey! ❤️🙏🏼 More to come!
Moxie went on her first adventure to Caprock Canyons State Park in Texas.
Wow! Such beauty makes me sit back in amazement at our creator, and how detailed, and origional all of his creation is. The canyons are truly amazing to see!
Moxie is not fully finished. We still have some work to do on the exterior, backsplash to install, a pop out tent to repair, and lots of little details. Since Moxie is fully functional with water, electric, AC and plumbing, these things will not stop us from hitting them road.
Next stop, New Mexico! Follow along to see Moxie travel the States 🇺🇸
Perseverance is LEARNED.
This epoxy and fiberglass patch almost had me giving up on this whole project. If I was not familiar with failing, or if I was afraid to fail… this patch would never have been fixed. At least, not by me, and not on the 5th try.
What an amazing testimony of perseverance and “moxie” 😉 that is now part of her story!
MOXIE, you are definitely living up to your name, and I love it!

Moxie has a new wall up!
The window has successfully been installed too! 💪🏼
DEMO in progress.
Hopefully, I will only need to remove the paneling and insulation from this front end of the camper where the roof was leaking into the side walls. Mold was thick in here and I’m working on removing everything that has been touched by it.
Moxie is living up to her name… 😂😅 She is going to give me a run for my money!
I started this project with the thought that I didn’t want to have any sponsors, but now that I’m deep into it, and running out of cash… I’m read for the sponsorships! 😍😂 and anyone else I’ve worked with in the past, LET’S MAKE THE GIRL PRETTY!!! 💪🏼❤️
Help me name our little hybrid camper!
Background… I'm entering a new season of renovating and DIY that is bringing up the past. It’s a little scary to go back to DIY after a 2 year break, but the break has been very intentional, and therapeutic. Now, I’m entering a new season of creativity that is coming with mental health. Praise the Lord!
If you’ve followed me for the past few years, you might know that I have a long history of mental illness.
I started gutting a camper 6 years ago (almost to the day), and in the middle of it I got super depressed, diagnosed with bipolar, had a mental breakdown, and tried to kill myself. Years of therapy, counseling, medication, and 2 kids later... Here I am!
What doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger! 💪🏼 Especially when our hope is in the Lord! 🙏🏼
Give me all of your name ideas that go along with this redemptive story!
New year, new project!
