One City Church - Lancaster

This past weekend, a team from One City Church returned from Buff Bay, Jamaica after an INCREDIBLE week of ministry! They worked hard together to build steps and a handicapped ramp at a small mountain church, shared testimonies, five men preached at various churches & several led worship at different venues. We had some who gave nursing and chiropractic care, the main church was deep cleaned & a local school was painted. There were 4 evening evangelistic meetings and several Jamaicans gave their lives to Christ! Thank you for your prayers and support of this team! May God be glorified by the work of their hands!

SIXTEEN PEOPLE joined One City Church in Covenant Membership yesterday! 🙌 We rejoice at receiving these new members and thank God for how He is growing our body of believers in Lancaster City. People from all stages of life - college students, singles, young couples with children, and seniors have committed to making this their church home. We have had a wonderful visit with Paul Kijuu these past three weeks! He spoke at our church service, spent time with 4 Community Groups, and also visited one of our Kids Classes! He is now en route back to Tanzania. May the Lord bless and keep Kijuu as he continues to bring the Word of God to his people! Thank you for blessing us!

REMINDER that our CHURCH WORK DAY is THIS SATURDAY, November 18th from 8am-12pm! Please bring rakes, leaf blowers, tarps, rags, & cleaning supplies. We will be working inside and outside the building. Little helpers welcome! :) Coffee and donuts provided! See you there!

We welcomed our dear friend and brother in Christ, Paul Kijuu, to Lancaster this week! He came from East Africa to update us on the work he is doing among his people, the Rangi of Tanzania. We shared in a wonderful dinner this past Saturday evening hosted by our sister church, Grace Church @ Willow Valley. Kijuu shared his testimony of salvation while in the midst of translating the Bible into his langauge. We are overjoyed to have Kijju with us for the next two weeks!

Some of our One City Church family participated in the Freedom Walk this morning. Non-stop rain could not keep several hundred people away from walking the streets of Lancaster City to help raise awareness of the ongoing battle against Human Trafficking and the plight of its victims.

Each year, One City Church is blessed to be able to award the Peter L. Padro scholarship to help offset the educational expenses of one of our church family members who is preparing to serve the Lord cross-culturally. This year, we are honored to award that scholarship to Emma S.!
