Our next farm feature is Pingrey Family Farms, located in Strykersville, NY.

The farm was established in 1963 and they currently milk 430 cows on 1,200 acres of land. Pingrey Family Farm has received the Upstate Niagara Cooperative Quality Award 12 years in a row!

They take pride in treating everyone they work with as family and building relationships with other farmers in the industry.

In honor of National Dairy Month, we are featuring a few of our farmer-owners and their farms!

Old Acres Farm was established in 1950 in Perry, NY. They are in their 5th generation of owners! There are 1,300 cows on the farm.

Old Acres Farm has protected 1,316 acres of highly productive and scenic farmland with Genesee Valley Conservancy, making it the 1st farm in Wyoming County to receive this protection.

Every Upstate Niagara Cooperative member farm has undergone nationally recognized FARM Animal Care Program Evaluations to exemplify their commitment to providing excellent cattle care and producing safe milk. Our member farms continue to demonstrate their care for the land and environment through the innate circularity of dairy farming and sustainable conservation practices.

This week 32 years ago on February 13, 1992 The Daily News took this photo of production work inside the Oatka Milk plant in Batavia. They do formulation to manufacturing and packaging of dairy-based products. Oatka Milk is still in business today located at 4815 Ellicott Street Rd, Batavia.

50 years ago today, Kitty and Paul Dziedzic started their dairy farm dream with just 29 cows. Despite all the challenges they've faced over the years; including two particularly difficult times, faced with a barn fire and a mysterious cow illness, they've persevered. The farm has grown to over 1,350 cows being milked and many more onsite. Their son Eric bought in as an owner and is now the second generation making plans for the farm's future. The Dziedzic family thanks family, friends, business partners and most importantly all our current and former employees who've helped us achieve this wonderful milestone. We couldn't have done it without the strength and support of you all. ❤️ 🐄
