Mama Moose Bakery was started and is owned by a mother-daughter team. Both the mother and daughter are named Marly and both have always loved creating baked goods for family and friends. Mama-Marly (The inspiration for Mama Moose) was born and raised in Panama where she had many years of restaurant experience. Back when she was 12 years old she would help her mother by baking cakes and managing fo
od services in her mother's restaurant. After having four children of her own, she taught them many (But never all!) of her baking secrets and love of confections. After several years of living in Alaska, Mama-Marly started combining her Latin baking background with many of the unique flavors and themes of the great frontier of America. Mama- Marly spent several years admiring the Mama Moose and seeing the unique and special care Mama Moose had for her young. This reminded her of her own unique care and relationship with her children. Mama-Marly hopes to provide that same comforting and soothing appeal through her home baked goods approach. Now, the dynamic duo live in eastern Pennsylvania and are delivering these fantastic frontier flavors to the local community.
