We are hiring! Looking for 2 to 3 associate teachers. $15/hour. Hours are Monday through Friday 630am-815am and 230pm/315pm-530pm (depending on classroom). We can be flexible with how many days/which of the hours above would work for you if we have enough applicants to cover the full shifts.
Requirements:
AT LEAST 16 years old
Reliable transportation to and from the building (East or C**t)
TB test (after job offer)
2 sets of fingerprints (district and licensing)
MiRegistry trainings
Willing to get CPR, First Aid and CPI certified (we schedule that!)
Completed EduStaff application (upon job offer)

IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
Dear Waverly Families,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you of an unexpected delay in the opening of Waverly High School and Waverly Middle School due to unforeseen circumstances in our ongoing construction process. Unfortunately, this means that we will not be able to welcome our secondary students back on Wednesday, August 21st, as originally planned.
The first day of school for Waverly High School and Waverly Middle School students will now be a full day on Monday, August 26th. As I write this message, construction crews at WMS are working without electricity following a critical failure in the main breaker. These additional days will provide our construction crews the time needed to complete essential work and allow our staff to properly prepare their classrooms for the students' return.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for your family, and I appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our students.
*C**t, Winans, Elmwood, and East will start on Wednesday, August 21st as originally scheduled.

PK-8th grade: Devices are "Away for the Day"
9-12 - Devices are off and put away "bell to bell," students may check devices between classes and at lunch.
Please read the research presented in my email message which aligns with our new procedures. A special thank you to the group of Waverly Educators who worked this summer to come up with these new procedures. Parents/guardians, we need your help. Please do not text message your child during the school day. Our goal is to create a more focused and distraction-free environment that enhances academic success and promotes positive social interactions. We would also appreciate your help in discussing these new procedures and consequences with your student.

Dear Waverly Community,

I work for Waverly Community Schools and help to place high school juniors and seniors with disabilities in a WBL (work-based learning) placement.

I am looking for local businesses to host a high school student for a 10 week rotation. Students could come up to 5 days a week from about 9:00-10:40. These students would be volunteering for you - they would not be getting paid but instead earning credit for their WBL program. We would love to start rotations beginning/mid September.

A Waverly staff member would attend with students as a Job Coach to support as needed.
