This Friday we’re featuring GLAG artist Melissa!

Utilizing bits of dishes, jewelry, stained glass, charms, beads, mirror, & tile, Melissa creates incredible one-of-a-kind mosaic artwork.

Melissa explains her passion for her art this way: "I have engaged in some type of art throughout my life. I began mosaics after visiting my daughter in Chicago. A professional artist and art teacher, she has specialized in mosaics for a number of years and asked if I’d like to try it. I was immediately enthralled with the whole process and have been creating my own style and types ever since."

Melissa's love for her work shows in each uniquely designed piece, and new ideas are always coming! You can find hearts, mirrors, mandalas, campers, florals, music notes, and much, much more!

Please help us give a warm welcome to our newest artist! Patricia and her daughters create gorgeous works of art inspired by their Hispanic culture ✨

~It’s an Artist Feature Friday! ~

This Friday we’re featuring GLAG artist Bill Priest!

Bill’s craftsmanship is extraordinary. He creates custom hand-made knives and their accompanying leather sheaths, along with distinguished wooden canes, and an assortment of other finely crafted items.

The knives are hand cut and filed to shape with handles of cut and polished natural antler or copper, brass or nickel fittings. The leather sheathes are handcrafted to fit each knife, and includes hand-stitching and embossing details.

Maureen is a skilled abstract painter and multi-media artist. In her own words:

“I am not interested in replicating anything realistically. I try to express through line, color, composition, and brushstroke the feelings of nature and human form. I feel I would call myself an abstract expressionist.”

This Friday we’re featuring GLAG artist Roger Nowland!

Roger started making wooden pens many years ago. After a break, he started up again; this time expanding his line to include a wide variety of pens, seam rippers, keychains, razors, and more using exotic woods, acrylics and colorful laminated woods.

Roger’s line of work also includes a great selection of Cabochon jewelry items, including necklaces, keychains, earrings, and jewelry sets. Each piece has it’s own colorful design, with lots of options to choose from!

Bella is a talented illustrator who sketches, draws and colors her original pieces by hand. With whimsical, intricate designs, you’ll be able to find new details every time you look!
