We are busy fermenting in the cidery to keep the amazing cider coming.

For fans of our 1852 Blend we've sold out our 2022 batch (except for a few bottles). We make this special blend just once a year. We'll be starting our 2023 version this coming Tuesday. This batch contains All our special heritage cider apples and a few special modern ones including: Roxbury Russet, Chisel Jersey, Spitzenburg, Baldwin, Steele Red, Goldrush, Pink Pearl, Northern Spy, Snow, Razor Russet, Ashmeads Kernel, Prime Gold, Cox Orange Pippin.

In the meantime, we'll have a few other special apple blends coming out too keep all our real die hard apple enthusiasts engaged. Currently on tap in Lansing is our Goldrush/Snow, a blend of the modern Goldrush with the very old Snow apple, a beautiful golden color and rich spicey notes, that packs a bit of a kick at 8.2% ABV.

Look for more to come while we await the return of 1852 Blend next year.

Plum Cyser is now on tap!

What is a Cyser? Cyser is cider that honey added to it prior to fermentation. So you have the apple base, with our own Italian plums added, with some local honey. You get some sweet, floral honey flavors, balanced with the pink color and flavor of the plums with the base dry cider.

If you like a bit of sweetness in your cider without it being syrupy give this one a try. It's actually dry, but the honey gives is some roundness on the tongue that makes you think there's some sugar in there.

This cyser packs a punch at 8.5% ABV

Hob: Hopped Cider is now on tap! This dry cider was hopped several times with Michigan grown Cashmere hops. The dry hopping process brings out flavors of tropical fruit, melon and flowers without the bitterness associated with hoppy beers.

Ferdinandus: French Oak Aged Cider is now on tap!

How is this different from Peter: American Oak Aged Cider? Taste it and find out! American Oak has that classic oak flavor, what we mostly think of when we say oak. French oak has a more subtle flavor. If you find the American Oak in Peter a bit too much for your liking, this might be just the thing. Clean apple flavor with just a subtle oak finish.

Fidelia: Lavender Cider has rotated off tap in favor of Bruno: Blueberry Cider. Michigan blueberries are added to the secondary fermentation of this dry cider. Beautiful blue color with floral, woody blueberry notes.

Cider All Year!

That's right we have our amazing apple cider all year long. Typically we are pressing fresh cider September through February, during which time we freeze thousands of gallons. We then pull tanks out of the freezer every week March through August.

That means you can get our cider year round, without having to freeze and store it yourself. It also allows us to offer cider slush and out amazing cider donuts all year, instead of just during the fall harvest.

We still press cider the traditional way, on a rack and cloth press. It's more labor intensive, but it still yields the best quality cider. We carefully blend apples we grow ourselves, on our farm in Gratiot county, where we've been growing apples for 170 years.

So no need to ask, no need to wonder, we have cider! and cider slush and cider donuts, everyday!
