Detroit-based artists, The Brown Thrasher & Todd Albright, performed for a cozy little room last night. We were blown away by both of them- haunting original autoharp tunes and super fine 12-string folk blues! π€© Really loved making these connections with new friends from SE MI. (Catch fellow Detroiter, at their ragtime banjo trio show next week!)
π This week at The Robin π
Wednesday: Molly Parden x Eliza Edens x Louisa Stancioff w/ Lucas Powell (indie folk singer songwriters)
Thursday: Todd Albright & The Brown Thrasher (Detroit 12-string blues, autoharp, songwriters)
We'd love your help spreading the word about the work we do here. Tell a friend? Hope to see you at a show!

Todd Albright & The Brown Thrasher | 10/10/24
Albright is a country blues, twelve-string guitar player and vocalist based in Detroit, MI. Grounded in the pre-war era of the blues tradition (1880-1939), and one of the top blues guitarists in the world, Todd is the only contemporary twelve string player in his genre. Toddβs forthcoming third album is set to be released by Third Man Records.
We're really looking forward to seeing this new project from the virtuoso banjo player, fiddler, music scholar and Detroiter, Aaron Jonah Lewis! You may know them from their solo work or with Corn Potato String Band, and their Ragtime Banjo Revival builds on an already brilliant repertoire of joyful, vibrant and historically significant songs. Hope to see you at the show on October 17!
