Why should you support local junior livestock sales? | AGDAILY Livestock exhibitors are learning skill far more profound than loading sacks of feed. Junior livestock sales support the businesses of these future farmers.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: ENTRY DATES HAVE BEEN EXTENDED!

Entry into our pageant without a fee has been moved to June 15, 2024, any entries after that date are subject to a late entry fee of $50. The last day for late entry is June 22, 2024! We are still looking for prospective contestants, so if you have ever had any desire to run for a royalty title now is your chance. 🤩

If you need the entry and sponsorship form packets printed, please reach out to Kaylee Garrison to make arrangements for pickup.

Please Note: The registration entry form, expectation statement (notarized), waiver of liability (notarized), and a copy of the contestants birth certificate are due on June 1, 2024 without a late entry fee. Here’s a little for today. 🤩 Such a rich history of past Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo Queens! All wonderful women who have served our local community and beyond. 🤗👏

The mandatory information session for prospective contestants is June 1, 2024 at 1:00pm located at the NM Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. We hope to see you there! 🎉

We have a BIG announcement: Our 2024 SNMSF&R Royalty Pageant information is now available on the website for prospective contestants! 🤩 There have been quite a few changes to the Royalty Pageant that we are excited about!
1. The Fair and Rodeo Queen ages have been raised to 24 years old! 👏
2. The Fair Queen will now receive a trophy purse/wallet set of up to $850 in value. 🎉
3. The Rodeo Queen will receive a trophy saddle valued at $850, which is an increase from previous years! 🥳
4. The Fair and Rodeo Queens will receive a $1,000 End of Year Scholarship for completing their reign. (This is also an increase from previous years!) 😱
5. The PeeWee mentorship program has changed back to one PeeWee Princess winning the overall title.

For those interested in running for a title, we will be holding the mandatory information session on June 1, 2024 at 1:00pm at the NM Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. Early registration for contestants will be due at that time. (Please see the Schedule of Events on the website for more detailed information regarding specific forms due on this date.) Late entries will be accepted with a $50 fee until June 15, 2024. To submit late entry forms you will need to contact Kaylee Garrison, Royalty Superintendent, to arrange form drop-off.

Please Note: Currently, the Registration form is listed as the Official Royalty Entry Form on the website. We are also working on correcting the Coronation Luncheon Ticket Form and we’ll have it updated on the website soon.

A huge shoutout to 2023 Rodeo Princess, Jacki Gayle! She is currently sitting in the number one seat in the world for bull riding in the Women’s 17u category and is second in the Women’s Open category. This picture is from last night when she took home Women’s Champion. Last weekend, she won Reserve Champion and qualified for two more world final competitions. She is geared up and ready to attend four sets of World Finals this year alone! We are so incredibly proud of all you’re doing Jacki. Keep up the great work! 🤩🎉
