DID YOU KNOW 💡 - Chile cultivar developed at New Mexico State University was grown aboard the International Space Station in 2021. The NuMex ‘Española Improved’ pepper- a hybridization between ‘Hatch Sandia’ and the traditional Española Valley native type peppers of northern New Mexico, was part of NASA’s Plant Habitat-04 experiment. NMSU graduates are among the researchers and scientists who helped chile find its way to space. 🌶️ 👨‍🚀 🌌
