Dean Mah and our Director of Admissions, Victoria Symonds represented UNLV Dental on a career panel for the Anatomage tournament. Hundreds of high school students from across the country had the opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals to learn more about various professions.

Congratulations to Dr. Jessica Pharar, Class of 2014, for being named among this year’s 40 Under 40 honorees by VEGAS INC. magazine. The annual award recognizes community leaders for their work ethic, devotion to community, and leadership, not just in their individual spheres of influence but across Southern Nevada. 👏👏

Dr. Pharar earned the accolade for providing compassionate dental care to cancer patients through the Pharar Foundation, which she founded to ensure a better quality of life throughout each individual’s cancer journey.

Congratulations to Dr. Matthew Thacker who was recently named a 2024 Healthcare Headliner by Vegas Inc. magazine! 👏👏 🦷

Hello 👋 from Portland, Oregon! UNLV dental students representing the School of Dental Medicine at the ADEA Go Dental Recruitment event.

Congratulations 👏 to our two DS1 students, Alan Ward and Colton Shaner, awarded through the HPSP. The Health Professions Scholarship Program provides full coverage of tuition/fees, and much more for dental/medical students. Alan and Colton will eventually go on to serve for 1 year in the United States Air Force after graduation.

This past Saturday, UNLV DMD students, pediatric dental residents, faculty, staff and volunteers came out to support our community outreach efforts for Give Kids a Smile (GKAS). Since 2006, the School of Dental Medicine has been providing world class oral healthcare to children in need at no cost.🪥🦷
