Every child’s favorite situation!
Don’t forget to have fun! 🎉
Stress comes in many forms. The majority fit into three categories - physical, chemical, and emotional. When experienced by the body, they are all interconnected. Your child can’t experience a physical injury that doesn’t cause chemical and emotional stress. Likewise, Chemical stress causes emotional and physical stress in the body. Emotional stress causes physical and chemical stress in the body.
Chiropractors usually focus on the physical stress stored in the body. Because they’re all interconnected, releasing physical tension also improves emotional well-being and chemical balance and organ function in the body!
⭐️⭐️Let’s talk tummy time⭐️⭐️
It’s crucial for babies. It enforces their proper motor development. This is a picture of an 11 month old. This little one should have a nicely rounded head, a developed S curve in the neck and low back, and flexible legs that move in and out of various sitting positions. Due to the lack of time on his tummy and OVERUSE of "baby containers" such as bouncy seats, swings, and car seat carriers that go from car to grocery store to restaurant, he has positional plagiocephaly (flat skull) a large C curve in his spine preventing him from getting on hands and knees to crawl, and hips and legs are so tight this little one can't even straighten his knees. Too much pressure on a baby's spine and vision centers of the brain from lying on their backs can become detrimental to proper development!
Basically..... TUMMY TIME, TUMMY TIME, TUMMY TIME!!
Tummy time is crucial from proper motor development! It doesn’t always need to be on the floor, but can be on the parent or caregivers chest, supported over their lap or bent knees, or on a nursing pillow for younger babies.
It’s suggested to find a team of specialists that can help in your area. If your little one struggles with reflux and isn't tolerating tummy time they can help develop strategies that will promote being off of their backs. AGAIN, this post is directed to parents and caregivers of babies who are typically developing and not those with special needs or other medical diagnoses. The baby in the picture fits this description. It is not meant to be judgmental but informative on what MAY or CAN happen.

Did you know kiddos can feel STRESSED too? 😩😥
5️⃣ signs of STRESS in a child:
1. Trouble sleeping - growing brains have trouble shutting down when they are stressed 💤
2. Trouble p**ping - yep! We said it, trouble with bowel movements 💩
3. Energy balance/hyperactivity - excessive movement, fidgeting and running/climbing/bouncing is their attempt to cope with all their stressors 🐒🏃♂️
4. Moody + upset - emotions can be a roller coaster, especially when children are not able to fully communicate their emotions yet! 😭 🎢
5. “Needy” + extra cuddly - kids can seek comfort when they are feeling stressed 💙
Parents have you noticed any of these stress signs in your kiddos lately? We’d love to connect and see how we can help calm their “stress” system so they can get back to doing what they do best... being a KID! 🤩👏🏻✨🧡
Yes, we're about to talk 💩!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Picture a baby that's grunting and crying at the top of her lungs because her tummy is tense, full of gas, and she hasn't p**ped in 7 days. That's enough to make any parent anxious!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
P**p is one of the most common topics we talk about at the office. I thought I went into chiropractic to help people heal, but it turns out talking about p**p should also be on my resume. 😆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yes, we help constipated babies (and adults!) have bowel movements and here's how: the nervous system is what controls digestion, all the way from the top down to the bottom. When the nervous system isn't working properly, constipation and digestive issues can happen. We use objective nervous system scans to see where the nervous system is stressed and help unwind + unlock that stress and tension on the system. Chiropractic adjustments help to get things moving (literally)! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Gut Brain Connection!
A favorite topic of so many parents who have struggled with their kids behavior and ability to handle school. If you haven’t heard of the gut brain connection it’s important to know that your gut creates so many hormones for your body it rivals your brain’s neurological capacity!
So important yet overlooked many times is how it works. Supplement protocols and diet changes to heal the gut are the go to moves when a gut health problem is suspected or tested for. But what if the power isn’t even plugged in???
The Vagus Nerve is the power cable that regulates the body’s inflammation levels as well as metabolism. If the plug isn’t in then any therapy, protocol, or diet change you do is sadly having minimal effect.
Is this you? How do you plug the gut back in to the power source of healing??? The green circle has a few options BUT it is missing the most powerful of all, neurologically based pediatric chiropractic. This is what we do!
So many professionals are amazing and help the body regain function better than it ever would have on its own. They are paramount and important! But the first step in this process that gets overlooked is plugging the Vagus Nerve power source back in to the body so the brain can regulate inflammation properly and become calm enough to properly handle stressors allowing HEALING to HAPPEN as fast as possible.
