Hope Cranes

I wore these out to celebrate my late birthday dinner and my mom’s later Mother’s Day dinner. She wore the black and white one’s I gave her. We had fun flying our hopecranes 😉 I’ve been having a rough time lately with a lot of physical, emotional, and mental changes and they just gave me a little feeling of peace. ☺️

My mom’s cousin Susan bought a pair of earrings from me and this is a picture of her unboxing from me. This is the text she sent to my mom after receiving them. These dangle pendants are bringing the elegance! I only have only have one style up on the website. For those that don’t know me, I’m a full time middle school art teacher so I work about 60 hours a week between teaching, running art clubs, grading and lesson planning. I LOVE coming home and making jewelry while watching tv in the background but adding stuff and editing my website is not my favorite task. On top of everything I have ADHD so doing tasks I’m not fond of (like photographing products, and anything to do with technology) is like pulling my own teeth lol It’s finally winter break though so I’ll have a few weeks off from school so I plan to update my website and add a bunch of new earring styles and necklaces. Each earring is adorned with a hand folded Japanese Origami paper crane that has been hand painted with a Color Shift Gloss Metallic blue acrylic paint. It is also adorned with a vintage authentic Austrian crystal....

These beauties are waiting for their pairing necklace pendant to finish getting its crystal clear resin coat before I list them on the website for sale. It’s will be the first necklace and earring set! Both necklace and earring hooks are sterling silver. Paper is gorgeous royal blue background with pink, blue, and gold flowers. Each crane is hand folded with Japanese Chiyogami Washi Paper. The earrings and necklace set is also adorned with authentic vintage Austrian crystals and a pearl bead. Very unique and special design.

When you’re making multiple paper cranes at once and they look like a Christmas 🎄 tree at one point. 😂 I think it’s time to quit folding and start decorating my house for Christmas.

I wore these beauties out today and even a man at BestBuy complemented me! He said it was good to see creativity still being made into earrings and that they were really pretty 🤩 made my heart ❤️ smile.
