Amaranth plant
The amaranth plant produces tocotrienol, which is a form of vitamin E. It fights cholesterol in the body that lowers the chances of heart disease, as stated in the published 2014 edition of the Journal Nutrition and Metabolism. This study also showed that tocotrienol has properties that fight against cancer and inflammatories. The potassium in the plant helps move oxygen to the brain and stimulates neural activities, which supports cognitive function while reducing the risk of stroke. The amaranth plant is also a high source of iron.
Wild Arugula
The spicy Argula plant originated in the Mediterranean region. Studies have shown that this plant has properties that fight cancer and many other minerals like calcium that increase bone health, tooth health, muscle function, and nerve function. Arugula contains potassium, reduces sodium, lowers high blood pressure, and folate, supporting genetic materials and DNA production. Watercress is an ancient green used in the diet of Roman soldiers. It is also in the cruciferous family, alongside kale, brussels sprouts, arugula, and broccoli. Studies have indicated that a compound called sulforaphane provides these vegetables with beneficial results against cancer. Individuals who don t consume enough potassium, magnesium, and calcium in their diets are more likely to have high blood pressure. Watercress contains all three of these healthy minerals and can help improve the risk against high blood pressure. Individuals most eat watercress in salads. However, people can also include watercress in casseroles, pasta dishes, and sauces.
