Have you heard of power peeing? Power peeing aka when we force or push our urine out is a problem when it becomes a habit and We interfere with the normal process of our bladder and pelvic floor. When our bladder is ready to empty, it contracts to empty and our pelvic floor muscles, especially those around the urethra relax to allow us to fully empty our bladder. If you are forcing this process, you are not allowing your muscles to relax and creating downward pressure which can contribute to leakage , incomplete emptying, and prolapse issues. Share this with your bestie so we can all live happily ever after with healthy bladders 💕 #pelvicpain#pelvicfloor#pelvicfloorhealth#postnatal#pelvicfloordysfunction#pelvicfloormuscles#pelvicfloorphysicaltherapy#overactivebladder #bladderhealth #bladderproblems

True story: Your hip pain can be coming stemming from pelvic floor issues Earlier this month, I evaluated a lady in her 50s tired of not being to enjoy intercourse with her partner. She was frustrated ready to regain intimacy with her partner. She mentioned she was having hip pain but didn’t think it was related and attributed to her workouts. During her evaluation, her pelvic floor muscles were tight, not relaxing and lengthening. The deep hip rotator on the left was holding on for dear life. We did some manual techniques and repositioning exercises. Today she reported back that she had not had any hip pain since our first visit. Nothing in our body works in isolation. Don’t settle for chronic pain 💕 #pelvicpain#pelvicfloor#pelvicfloorhealth#postnatal#pelvicfloordysfunction#pelvicfloormuscles#pelvicfloorphysicaltherapy#overactivebladder When you find out all your hip issues were coming from your pelvic floor and now you can sleep through your the night When you realize your chronic pain issues improved after your trans rectal exam Pelvic floor issues are not exclusive to 🤰 I’ve dealt with my own pelvic floor issues from a young age and know how frustrating, embarrassing, and annoying they can be, especially when they limit the activities your love. This is why I set out to provide the level of care I would want for my friends to receive and a holistic I wanted for myself. I had to address my nervous system, body mechanics, breathing mechanics, footwear, way I exercised and so much more. Combining manual techniques AND corrective exercises were a game changer for me and it is what I use to get my patients long lasting results. There are no such things as “BAD” or “GOOD” exercises for our pelvic floor. It is all about your form and you you are engaging your muscles. It all about modifying the movement so that it is beneficial to your body. Comment 🙋🏻♀️if you have a love/hate relationship with planks 😅
