Do you know the history of our crossed palm trees? Our first crossed palm trees were planted in 1972. In-N-Out Founder, Harry Snyder, loved the movie “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” and in the movie, the characters race to find treasure buried under four palm trees planted to resemble the letter W. Because each In-N-Out location is Harry’s treasure, it became a tradition to plant crossed palms in front of almost all of our restaurants.
