Here fishy, fishy! The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is offering youth combination (fishing/hunting) licenses to anyone 12-17 years old at no cost to them, while supplies last!

A youth combination license allows the holder to legally fish in Nevada for one year from the issuance date, and after completing a hunter education course would also allow the holder to legally hunt.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area extends across Nevada and Arizona, and each state requires a fishing license for anglers within its borders. Remember to carry the appropriate license with you while fishing in the park.

-Nevada: an annual Fishing License is required for persons 16 or older or a Junior Fishing License for persons 12 to 15
-Arizona: a valid fishing or combination license is required for resident and nonresident anglers 10 years of age or older.

It's a dance party everyone ✨🎉
Special Dance: June 29. This dance is being organized by a 14 yr-old who wanted to create a special family dance (mommy/son-daddy/daughter) for people with diverse abilities -- our wounded warriors, kids/young adults with diverse abilities, etc. Please join us for a magical, FREE family dance and tea. We ❤️ our General Education counterparts for putting on field days for kids! It's a fun day for everyone and takes a lot of preparation on the PE teacher's part! Feeling the last full day of school Friday vibes! This guy is moving from middle school to high school and we're going to miss him so much! We ❤️ our kids and get to know them in a special way. The end of a school year is always bittersweet💕

We ❤️❤️these bowling nights! We love that families are laughing and playing together the most! Since we're on the topic of love, we also ❤️ Paralyzed Veterans Of America Nevada Chapterfor all their help and the Las Vegas Elks Lodge #1468 for the amazing 🍕 and assistance. Our partners really showed up this year and it doesn't go unnoticed. Bowling night is also tinged with a little sadness though as we know this is this last Paralympic night of the school year. Thanks everyone- it was a great year together ☀️❤️

Today Cozine elementary school students ran-for Eddie. Eddie planned this run and we wanted to follow through for him. He would have wanted it this way. The Paralyzed Veterans of America-Nevada Chapter's Annual Walk/Run is May 3rd! The PVA has always supported our programs- let's support theirs🙌

We are so appreciative of the UNLV Lady Rebels for coming out to our Paralympic family night and sharing their 🏀 knowledge with us! So much fun!! This team was nationally ranked this year and we think they are champs on and off the court!

This is just part of the team that puts on these events for kids! Each person brings their unique talents to make these events fun and successful for the kids we work with so they feel cared about, engaged and valued. We don't want to brag but we really do have the best staff around 🏖️

Free Pickleball Clinic for Families:

We’re making plays all around the country! USA Pickleball is excited to serve the Las Vegas community and grow the sport of pickleball. Pickleball for All is an educational clinic where participants will have an opportunity to learn fundamentals, play games and receive a free paddle.

The clinic will be held at Sunset Park on Sunday, April 14 from 12pm – 2pm. USA Pickleball is excited to invite families to sign-up and join us on Sunday, April 14. Please note there are limited spots available - we kindly request you register all participants via the link to participate and commit to attending.

What's a little wind and an eclipse mean to these volunteers? Not much- they persisted undeterred and painted lines for eight pickleball courts today! Adapted PE teacher will be starting an inclusive pickleball club and the volunteers Southern Nevada Pickleball helped make it happen. Volunteers can make such an impact! Thank you from the bottom of our ❤️ # inclusion

We celebrated today! We also played-- we ❤️ to play and connect and laugh! We celebrated retirees, team leaders and our general education PE teachers that excel in inclusion! We approach PE with an "our kids" mentality! We teach all KIDS and appreciate our General Ed counterparts that go above and beyond to provide an atmosphere of kindness and inclusion! It's up to ALL of US❤️

STRIKE!! 🎳These kids SPARED no time in getting to the first Unified Bowling event we've held in years! What a success! Many high schools participated and we appreciate each and every one of them❤️ Special Olympics Nevada is such a great partner!!

Mike from our department went to a Goal Ball game today to see one of his students! Goal ball is a great game to play with people who are visually impaired or blind. Goal ball can be a fun inclusive game too: students who are not visually impaired can wear blindfolds so everyone can participate on an even playing field. Thanks for sharing the pics, Mike! We ❤️ to see our students out in the community living their best lives 💯

We had such a good time swimming tonight--- we really appreciate students from Leavitt MS and Centennial HS helping in the pool and making it even more fun! 🙌🏊‍♀️🤿
