Today we celebrated the career of Rick Thomas, who has been with Kalb Industries for 30 years. He has lead countless jobs for us and most recently over saw the Howard Hughes projects. He will be greatly missed around the office and on the jobsite but we all wish him nothing but the best in retirement.

The team at Kalb Industries of Nevada, Ltd. would like to congratulate Wendy Kalb on her Lifetime Achievement award with Junior League of Las Vegas.

Wendy’s public service ethic exemplifies the purpose and mission of JLLV, including its mission of developing the potential of women and improving communities through the leadership of trained volunteers. Wendy has been a pivotal member of JLLV for forty years. Since joining in 1984, she has chaired and served on several committees. Notably, Wendy was one of the first leaders of the Christmas Project, later called the Adopt a Bear Project. She has made it a family affair, involving her children and grandchildren in shopping for and packing gifts for children sponsored by Adopt a Bear. In 1999 and 2002, she was named JLLV Sustainer of the Year.

Wendy, congratulations on such an amazing award and for the many years of selflessly giving back to those in the community who need it the most we thank you. We can't wait to celebrate with you tomorrow.

Each year, honors a Sustaining Member with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedication to and commitment to making a difference in the community.

This year, we are proud to present the award to Wendy Kalb. Over the last 40+ years, Wendy has served on many community boards and committees. Presently, she is a member of Nevada Women's Philanthropy - NWP where she serves on the Grants Screening committee.

As a member of the Junior League since 1984, Wendy was one of the first leaders of the Christmas Project, later called the Adopt a Bear project. 8 News Now recently highlighted Born And Raised Centennial. Bringing a local staple to the Centennial Hills are has not only given sports fans and locals alike a new place to watch their favorite teams but also a great place to hang out and enjoy delicious food!

The Kalb team is proud to have been a part of this project and bringing B.A.R to another part of the Las Vegas valley.

Born and Raised takes it up a notch with new northwest Las Vegas location Born and Raised opened its fourth location in the Las Vegas valley in late January, taking the “elevated sports bar” concept yet another notch higher.

Located in North Las Vegas, this tilt up concrete office building has seen a lot of progress from the dirt lot we started with.

We have completed paving prep, lifted the concrete outer walls, installed mechanical drops and scrim as well as insulation throughout the entire space, TPO Roofing Material was stocked and installed, sprinkler piping started throughout and the elevator shaft has been completed!

Army of the Dead Virtual Reality is a recent tenant improvement located in the business complex adjacent to Area 15. This wasn’t a typical tenant improvement and required less demo and more work on bringing the building up to proper code and upgrading existing features.

Virtual Reality- Army of the Walking Dead Tenant Improvement - Kalb Industries The Army of the Dead Virtual Reality tenant improvement project, situated in a business complex adjacent to the attraction Area 15.

Located in the District Plaza off of Green Valley PKWY and the 215 beltway. The Treatment Skin Boutique, tenant improvement project is one to turn heads. The shell of this building may look familiar to those who have been following along with Kalb projects as we completed the tilt-up building earlier this year. Recently completed in North Las Vegas, Enterprise Car Rentals just opened its doors on a brand new location. This ground up 3000 sqft build consists of two structures including a full-service carwash and luxurious office space.

Born And Raised- Tenant Improvement - Kalb Industries The Centennial Born and Raised is now open for business. This is the second BAR tenant improvement for Kalb Industries.

Last week our team had the opportunity to install rooftop Swamp Coolers out at our Shipmunk tenant improvement project. It wasn't your typical install, we hoisted twenty-nine 1100 lb. Swamp Coolers onto the roof via helicopter.

A big thank you to our subcontractors on this portion of the project were Evap 1 Cooling, Heating & Refrigeration. As well as Sundance Helicopters, pilot John Haverly, and his ground support Chris Horton.

Kalb was also accompanied by Region 9 during the entire process including an on-site safety meeting beforehand, as well as ensuring all were following all PP&E requirements.

Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving as a team! Our annual cookout was filled with delicious food, good conversations and most importantly our team.

Last week we lost a beloved member of the Kalb Industries team. Harold worked for Kalb for 25 years. He played a key role in making sure the Kalb team was able to do their jobs, from vehicle maintenance, to plans and permit submissions, and finding the best price on office supplies Harold did a little bit of everything for us. He was much more than a hard worker, he was a great father, a good friend, and a lover of Hawaiian shirt Friday. We will miss him terribly.

Recently completed in Henderson, the tenant improvement for Entertainment Project Services expanded their current workspace. By adding in additional offices, updates to common areas renovating the second floor, the team at Entertainment Project Services was able to stay in their current building while growing as a company. Handels Ice Cream Las Vegas opened up two new locations in town. The Kalb team was able to complete these two tenant improvements in just twelve weeks bringing the valley two new delicious locations to grab a Summer treat.

Kaia Handroll Sushi Restaurant - Kalb Industries Kaia Handroll Sushi Restaurant located within Area 15. , is the latest addition to the Kalb Industries completed tenant improvement projects.

Check out our latest project making the Las Vegas Review-Journal! The Kalb team is wrapping up this project in just a few short weeks, located inside AREA15, Kaia Handroll Sushi Restaurant, which once was an empty space between axe throwing and Todd English's The Beast will bring a new food option to Area 15 guests.

This full restaurant includes a full sushi bar and prep area where hungry guests watch the chefs prepare the sushi, a small prep kitchen, and a to-go window for on-the-go service.

We can't wait to share more on this project once it's complete!

Today is a day of celebration for the Kalb team. We are celebrating Vicki, who has been with Kalb since 2001. She is retiring after 22 years with the team, if you have ever needed anything from the accounting department, called the office, or been a subcontractor of ours for any number of years you have worked with Vicki. She was a huge part of the Kalb family and we will miss her, but know retirement will be an exciting new chapter and we wish her nothing but the best.

Located near downtown Las Vegas, Vic's Las Vegas is one of Kalb Industries' most recently completed projects.

Vic’s Las Vegas is a beautiful classic Jazz Club reminiscent of the 1960s and 70s and a full-menu restaurant and sports bar.

Ojos Locos Casino and Jefe Bet Sports Book - Kalb Industries Kalb Industries completed the Ojos Locos Casino and Jefe Bet Sports Book tenant improvement in 2 1/2 months.

Bruin Capital Partners recently opened their doors to their brand new office space. Located in Summerlin, their views include Red Rock, Downtown Summerlin shopping mall, and the new baseball stadium.
