NBA board spotlight features Vice Chairman David R. Navarro who is Enterprise Bank & Trust's Nevada regional president.

Navarro is a Las Vegas native born and raised and has spent the majority of his career in the field of commercial banking serving a diverse group of commercial banking clients throughout the valley. He started his career at a regional bank and has since worked for some of the largest banks in the country. He has held several positions in banking ranging from credit analyst to senior vice president / director of commercial banking prior to joining Enterprise Bank & Trust. He is a proud graduate of UNLV and is also very involved in the banking industry and in his community.

Did you know the first celebration using the term Veterans Day occurred in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1947? The story goes that Raymond Weeks, a World War II veteran, organized "National Veterans Day," which included a parade and other festivities. The event was held Nov. 11, then designated Armistice Day. Later, U.S. Rep. Edward Rees of Kansas proposed a bill changing Armistice Day to Veterans Day. In 1954, Congress passed the bill that President Eisenhower signed proclaiming Nov. 11 as Veterans Day.

Power 2023 U.S. Small Business Banking Satisfaction Study, banks are doing a better job of helping small businesses navigate this complicated set of market conditions with improved digital tools and more supportive telephone service and small business relationship managers. Small business owners are more optimistic about the future than they were a year ago, with slightly more than half (54%) saying their business is financially healthy, but inflation is still having a negative effect.

NBA board spotlight features chair-elect H. Scott Johnson who is Valley Bank of Nevada's executive vice president and CFO.
He has more than 28 years of local financial institution experience. Scott worked for the national accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche, for several years and obtained his CPA license in the state of Nevada. He then worked for a number of Nevada credit unions. Scott graduated magna cm laude from Southern Utah University with a bachelor’s in accounting.
