Today marked the closing of the ! I’m so grateful I got to be a small part of it last year as it toured through Vegas. Congratulations
This is 41! I heard a phrase recently that I love- I’m aging gratefully. It’s true! I’m so incredibly grateful! Aging is a privilege denied to many.
And for those who don’t know - Amy Farrah Fowler played brilliantly by is my favorite character on The Big Bang Theory and in her honor the hubbins bought me my own tiara and proclaims I must wear it all day- even in the hot tub. 🤣
I’ve had the honor to work on the North American Tour while it’s here in Las Vegas! Working with has been an absolute pleasure! Thank you for bringing me on this project! And if you haven’t seen the show yet, dear Las Vegas Bohemians, you have through next Sunday! Run. Don’t walk!
Merry Christmas, y’all!
While stretching in the hot tub this am I heard a “bloop” behind me. When I turned around there was a piece of bird p**p floating to the bottom. Most of our hot tub is covered by the roof of our patio. That is some precision aim! 🤣♥️🎄
And the lovely thing is.. I have been healing. And I have many project ideas on the horizon. 😁
Stay safe, everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
I have been so fortunate this year to work on so many amazing projects! Huge thanks to for the fantastic opportunities!!
Thank you I love my cut and color!
We voted. Did you?
Happy World Ballet Day!
day 31's theme is ALL HALLOW'S EVE! Many years ago when I first moved to Las Vegas I went to work dressed as Death to Infomercials! No sewing involved in this costume. Oh and I was too cheap to purchase a bumpit so there's just kleenex stuffed in my hair. 😂 Happy Halloween, everyone!
day 30’s theme is SPOOKY! My sister and I recorded this forever ago when we were bored one night. We grabbed my man eating shark costume and went to the indoor gym in our parent’s high rise building in downtown Chicago. Can you imagine anything more spooky for the security guards watching the cameras? Ok, maybe not spooky. Stupid is the word. Stupid. 🤣
day 29’s theme is FRIENDS! How lucky am I to have so many people willing to model my creations, create beautiful hairstyles and makeup for them, and photograph them? I would not have my portfolio today without all of them! Thank you so much!! ♥️♥️
day 28’s theme is GOTHIC! I made this feather mini dress for a fashion show in 2015. Still one of my favorites! Thanks to for modeling and for your hair and makeup!
day 27’s theme is TRAVELING! This is more accessory than costume, but a few years ago I patterned and sewed a reversible tote bag (cowboy hats/goat yoga) for my dear friend, Julie. This past Christmas I used the same pattern to create a dual reverse tote for my brother.
day 25’s theme is TAILORED! I made these shorts for .mann who is the #1 Macho Man Randy Savage impersonator! Check him out!
day 24’s theme is SMALL BUDGET, BIG RESULTS. This fire costume and I made for a FIRE/ICE theme photoshoot was made with nearly all materials we already had on hand. I purchased the fosshape to create the fire “cage” we built. Everything else came from our stash- which is partly the reason the orange under dress is so short- only had about a yard of material.
Huge thanks to for modeling, for her beautiful hair and makeup, and for taking these gorgeous shots!
day 23’s theme is SUSTAINABLE! And what’s more sustainable than a vinyl, slutty nurse costume I made for a p**n back in spring 2019? 🤣 and no, I have no idea the name of the film. If you happen to come across this costume in it, let me know, no judgement. 😁
day 22’s theme is SEASONAL! and I made these corsets for a Santa Baby photoshoot many years back. Huge thanks to .ford and for modeling!

day 21’s theme is CELEBRATIONS! I was fortunate enough to work on these display costumes for the Wynn hotel in Cotai when I was a patternmaking apprentice and stitcher for .costume.academy ! And this display was to celebrate the Chinese New Year! It was such a wonderful experience- creating costumes for display mannequins is very different from humans - they’re bodies won’t bend to get dressed 🤣 so it requires a bit of extra work.
day 20’s theme is PLEATS, RUFFLES, & FLOUNCES! I was fortunate to help out with these light beam skirts for when I was a stitcher at the Wynn Costume Shop. La Reve was a beautiful water show at the Wynn hotel that unfortunately didn’t reopen after the COVID shutdown. However, I’ve been fortunate enough to create something for their new show .wynn ! Stay tuned!
day 19’s theme is GO BIG OR GO HOME! This Black Swan vs White Swan costume I did for Circus Couture’s Metamorphosis in 2019 was an idea I’d had for years. When it came time to put it into fruition it felt like a huge gamble and thankfully it paid off. Thank you to .dance for modeling & for the LEDs in the White Swan look!
Video of the onstage transformation in comments!
day 18’s theme is LACE & EMBROIDERY! I don’t really have anything in my costume portfolio that has both of those elements, but here’s an early pattern for my first fashion photoshoot I did. I love this dress and really want to update the pattern for more sizes. Thank you to my lovely model and for the fantastic photos! And thank you to and for the beautiful hair & makeup!
day 17’s theme is FLORA! and I made this for another Circus Couture once upon a time and it was a rough go. The LEDs I imbedded in the dress fell before the photo call, the mechanism to open the flower on the hip broke and we couldn’t get it fixed, and the cloud umbrella broke right before our model went onstage. It was a good lesson that you can be immensely prepared for something and sometimes it just doesn’t go your way. I’m still glad we did this tho as we learned a lot and the truth is you learn more from your failures than you do your successes.
day 16’s theme is FAUNA! I had to think a lot on this one- fauna by definition is all the animals that live wild in a particular area. So I present The Raven, another design I created for Circus Couture and my first project using feathers. I took a serious gamble with this project and it paid off so well. Fun fact- dyed feathers are not colorfast so my fingertips were black for the following week. Oh and as to how many feathers were actually on this- I have absolutely no clue. 🤣
Day 15’s theme is HATS & HAIR! In 2014 this was and my first LED costume collaboration! We created this look for Circus Couture’s Unlocked show. Aaron was able to create these awesome LED goggles and the trick was to keep the hat from being too heavy. LEDs were newer at the time so the power pack was a bit hefty. Wig styled by the incredibly talented
I’m back for - working, having a deadline, and a new puppy has kept me away, but I’m back for day 14’s theme which is COLORS! and I made this LED costume for many years ago when their theme was PRYSM. We had so much fun creating this I think we need to do another LED creation! 😉 Huge thanks to for being our fantastic model!
day 7’s theme is TRADITIONs! Whenever I am drafting a new pattern or creating a custom costume I create a mock-up first. Mock-ups are key for proper fit. It’s the best way to ensure what’s been drafted on paper translates from 2D to 3D properly.
Double post day! Since I missed day 6 which the theme was COZY INDOORS! I don’t really have a full costume that embodies that theme, but I have a bunch of knitted items I’ve made. I haven’t knitted much recently. I think I need to get back to it. I find it so relaxing while watching tv.
day 5’s theme is ADVENTUROUS OUTDOORS. to this awesome photoshoot at Mount Charleston with the incredibly beautiful and the insanely talented
day 4’s theme is FANTASY! I loved making this costume for the show in 2019. was such a fantastic model and so much fun to work with. took such gorgeous photos! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
