You should:
Ice
Get to a Licensed & Trained Sports Massage Therapist to get worked on and evaluated for secondary muscle strains
- do your home work (appointed exercises)
Rehab with band therapy ( yes, movement is imperative with healing muscular injuries.. (move it or lose it)
- get taped to create support & improve blood flow
-follow up with Sports Massage Therapist on weekly basis to create muscle pliability and minimize space inhibitors
-get the other side worked on to avoid compensation patterns that create postural imbalances👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 bc, the body loves symmetry.
You’re Primary MD (unless he’s a DO-they are THEEEE Best)is not trained in Muscular Function. Their expertise is in Medicine and appointing RX based on hypothetical guesses.. you need an expert in Muscles if you want muscular healing.
Healing will not be achieved through muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory, or pain medication.. RX’s only reduce symptoms, they don’t correct anything.
Yes, some would debate that a MD knows better than a Muscle Specialist, I’ll debate they don’t!
Most will admit they don’t know and have muscular issues themselves.. I love educating MDs on muscular therapy.. it’s so gratifying 😝
