The temperature is getting really hot so I wanted to share some tips with all of you for staying cool and safe during hot weather:
1.- Stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty, especially if you’re outside or exercising. You can also bring a water bottle with you.
2.- Stay cool
Use air conditioning or a fan, take cool showers, or keep your skin wet with a damp sponge or spray bottle. You can also try applying cold compresses to your neck, wrists, and feet.
3.- Wear light clothing
Choose loose-fitting, breathable clothing made of cotton. You can also wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face from the sun.
4.- Stay in the shade
If you’re outside, find shade and rest often.
5.- Limit activity
Avoid high-energy activities or working outdoors during the hottest part of the day. If you do need to be outside, try to limit your activity to cooler parts of the day.
6.- Keep your home cool
Keep shades drawn, blinds closed, and electric lights low or off. You can also try opening windows at night when it’s cooler outside.
7.- Be sun smart
Use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher and choose a product that offers broad-spectrum or UVA/UVB protection.

I love this place and this people
We get so busy with our busy lives, it’s easy to get distracted and not fully engage with the people around us. But as my wife always reminds me, being present with the people we love, is one of the best gifts we can give. It’s about truly valuing the moments we share and appreciating our friendships.
Being present isn’t just about showing up physically; it’s about really being there mentally and emotionally. It’s listening, showing empathy, and being part of the conversation. When we put away our distractions and focus on our friends, they feel seen, heard, and valued.
In today’s world, it’s easy to check our phones or try to multitask when we’re with others. But by choosing to be present, we show our friends that they matter. It’s a small gesture that speaks volumes about how much we care.
