Our Story
On Target Guns is located on the Northeast Corner of Stewart and Nellis in the North portion of the Smiths shopping center. We are a family business with focus on the shooting sports and hunting. If you ever have questions about traveling with your guns on the airlines just ask Dave. Dave have traveled around the world with his fi****ms and can give you some pointers.
On Target Guns is a proud supporter of the Second Amendment, but most of all supports responsible gun ownership and sales. Private Party transfers (5 per month per ATF) are legal here in Nevada. However, we would hope that the person selling the weapon would make sure the buyer can legally own it prior to transferring it. This is a public safety concern of ours, NOT an attack on the Second Amendment, OR wanting any additional useless gun laws put in place. On Target Guns has donated to many Pro Second Amendment groups over the past 11 years in the amount of almost 100K. There is not another gun store around that can even come close. We interview our customers prior to making any sales, just so we are not wasting our time, or the customers, then charging them the fee for the background check. If it is determined that there is a good chance that person will not be able to purchase a gun, many times they tell us, “we will just go to the gun show and buy one there” (Normally at an inflated price). This has been our point from the start. I have witnessed people purchasing at gun shows where the buyer was high on ma*****na, intoxicated, or appeared to be very questionable. We are concerned about everyone’s safety, not our bank account. The dealer is the first line of defense when protecting the Second Amendment by not allowing criminals the chance to purchase guns. We would like to think we are doing a great job at this, unlike those selling at gun shows only caring about the money, and the not the hands the gun is going to. Once again, thanks to all of the responsible guns owners who keep supporting safe gun ownership and On Target Guns.
