I’m sure you guys have already seen this video that’s going viral ! It was just sent to me this morning! Hard to watch tbh as a former PBA player but idk the situation to be fair! Little man knows how to fight I can definitely see that through his punches! Defintely trains! Honestly , I’d much rather get shot again! At least no one saw me get shot! Stay strong Jamie! 👍

I had the incredible opportunity of being able to be a resident basketball analyst at from 2017-2019. Wouldn’t have imagined myself doing anything like this let alone representing CNN!! It was a great experience I will never forget so I would to graciously say thanks & the great colleagues who guided me making my job easy, for the great conversation getting paid to talk hoops , for directing us , & for always giving me coffee!

Before I started my journey in the PBA , one of the most talked about basketball players was non other than Mr. Samboy Lim. Pre social media I had no references to go on to take a look and Alger a glimpse of one of the best players ever to play professional basketball in the Philippines. Also, he had already retired from the PBA my rookie year so I never had the chance to play with or against him. What we dis have back then were the stories!!! The countless stories of what he was like as a basketball player! From the acrobatic moves while hanging in the air seemingly never to come down to toying with his defenders particularly imports! They called him the Skywalker and they weren’t lying!
I didn’t know Samboy all that well but we did give each other time for quick chats. Keep in mind , we’re talking about a Samboy who was already in his late 30’s all the way up until the last time I chatted with him which happened to be in Moro Lorenzo gym on the ground floor in the sports rehab facility. After the pleasantries and handshakes , we would always talk about fitness particulary lifting weights and supplements we would take . I appreciated those quick chats because he gave me time. All throughout those years that we would run into each other ‘98- ‘15 , one thing you would always notice about Sir Samboy was how great in shape he looked! This dudes muscles even in his early 50’s were always popping out.

I just read about his passing a few hours ago ( morning time here stateside ) and I am saddened by his passing. I just hope and pray his family gets through this the best way they can 🙏🏾 and they will. To Samboy Lim’s family and close friends , I’d like to express my deepest condolences and wish all of you well. God bless all of you during this difficult period.

I’m not sure who this person is but it is his first time reaction video to The Skywalker’s highlights 👍 and it’s pretty cool to see and know that Samboy was not only appreciated in the Philippines but globally also. May his highlights and memory live on! Godspeed Sir Samboy 🙏🏾

Hey guys , I saw this post just a few minutes ago. Special mention to PH Sports Bureau for the post. They bring up a very good point plus many of the comments were interesting as well. Some blame the skill level , some the passion , some say the PBA is no longer a league of integrity ( in reference to farm teams ) , some will say scripted = SMB group versus MVP group , and some will say it’s because the fil foreigners and not enough focus on the locals . What do you think it is ? I have my opinions but what do you guys truly believe? 👍

Caught up with my old college teammate & brother , yesterday. Great friendships , bonds , and brotherhood are always the result of compettive sports esp when you played in NCAA Division l college hoops ! Always good times and more memories made with these types of moments plus the icing on the cake , was being able to see his family after so many years! Appreciate you bro!

I’ve known this guy since we were in HS & he was even my host on a college recruiting trip at Cal State Bakersfield waaaaaaay back in the day! I just want to say congrats on an incredible career that spans nearly 2 1/2 decades. ASI took the league by storm ( I know cause I was there 😂 ) , was this larger than life figure in the world of Philippine basketball , and brought so many fans back into the arenas just so they can get a glimpse and share the experience of seeing The Rock play.
